The Gielgud theatre is very cozy and relaxing. The shows never disappoint and the views in the entire theatre feel up close and personable.
Intimate space, bar on Dress Circle is a better choice for interval drinks. The theatre is just a stone throw away from best frozen yogurt in London -- SNOG! Have some while waiting at stage door ! :D
From the entrance to the chosen seat, this whole building breathes history. Perfect view on the first balcony .
Outstanding language & writing. Great acting and story of all times. What theatre was meant for.
Great old theatre with high quality showings. Have seen the curious incident of the dog in the night time and the Ferryman.
Great historical theatre with a creative and very enjoyable production of the Curious Incident
Grand circle seats have a good view of the stage even at the very back, but I wouldn't sit too far on the sides, your view will be blocked
Saw 'the curious incident of the dog in the night'. It was very well done. Definitely lived up to my high NY broadway standards.
Stunningly beautiful theatre ! Saw Blithe Spirit there. Love old classic theatres like this.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is definitely a must.
I wouldn't book seats in the rear half of the stalls as the balcony starts to obstruct the view of the top of the stage.
Charming theater ! Don't sit too far back in the stalls or your view of the stage will be blocked.
He really does tell you how he solved the math puzzle if you hang around after it's finished! - (Curious incident of the dog in the nighttime)
Private Lives. Great play but 3rd act too short to warrant an interval . Don't bother with the bar . You'll be out beer you know it.
A lovely theatre with three bard! :)
Comfortable chairs , good ventilationand always great games
Intimate theatre with great views of the action.
Go up to the Saloon Bar , seating and no queues
Good sight lines in most seats.
The bar in the basement at the back of the stalls is very quiet before the shows start and cooler than the theatre in the interval
Stop by the stage doors after the show to say hi and thanks to the cast and crew!
Excellent!! Superb acting and effects.
The staff are so friendly , but in the theater there were bugs and it was really annoying
Great view even from the upper balcony .
The side grand circle seats are pointless!! Can't see Anything!
Avenue Q - a must see show. Probably not the most cultural of shows for those visiting, but a great laugh and fantastically un-PC. Read more
"You are not allowed to take photos of the stage". But you can still receive lots of "texts".
'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg' a must seen. The cast is amazing!
First row in the dress circle is perfect
Ladykillers - nice, but dry like a Martini . Doesn't translate from movie to stage, but is enjoyable to a point.
Grand circle is very squashed
Nice theater .
Angela Lansbury was perfection.
There's a great production of Strangers on a Train from 4th November till 22nd February!!
Curious Incident ... was AMAZING.
Nice Theatre
The Audience a great show with Helen Miren
Go and see Strangers On A Train !
Currently showing the audience with Helen Mirram Feb 2013
Old, and cool.
Great theatre, fairly small so all seats have a fantastic view! Bars on each floor so queues are minimal in the interval. - Emily-jane
Excellent view from upstairs. Amazing set. Lovely views from the many outdoor balconies. - Derek Law
Go for the closer rows in stalls, because it can get claustrophobic with more remote options - Fresh
History has been made here!! You must visit Piccadily Circus. Lovely weather, very social spot with nice selection of Cafés - Ahmed Abdullah
Very nice fountain and gardens. The place is the heart of London. Extremely crowded during weekend nights! People from all over the world meet there! :-) - Andrea Lazzarini
