A must when in savannah! Line starts early 10 am! Very good home style southern food ! Fried chicken the best! Loved the sides as well !

Delicious family style southern meal. Great atmosphere and service. Got there at 11am on a Monday and waited a little over an hour. It was worth it.

Come hungry! The food here is phenomenal Southern cooking . There were no less than 20 bowls of side dishes at the table when we sat down. Each and every one of them was perfectly seasoned.

100% worth the wait. You will leave stuffed. Save some room for the peach cobbler served at the end - you will not be disappointed.

Everything was fantastic! Fried chicken , mashed potatoes & gravy , mac ‘n cheese , fried okra , okra and tomatoes , cabbage , rice , black eyed peas , lima beans, corn bread , rutabaga, collards & more!

This place is melt in your mouth good southern food and it doesn't get better than Mrs. Wilkes fried chicken . A dream come true for your palate - you have to come here when in Savannah. Incredible.

Mrs. Wilkes comes highly recommended and for good reason. This place is like going to Moms ( or Grandmas) house for Sunday dinner ! Best fried chicken anywhere! Don’t worry the line moves fast!

Unbelievably delicious!!! Creamed corn was the best I've EVER had, the fried chicken was amazing and the sweet potatoes/yams were phenomenal! The almost 2 hour wait was well worth it!

Been here twice this week!! Was to full to taste everything, 26 different dishes on the table at the same time. Some different dishes from two days ago! A MUST place to eat!!!!

So much better than the Lady and Sons this place is a must stop for anyone visiting Savannah. They only take cash but it is cheap and good. Best fried chicken ever.

Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience, food, sea salt soap in the restroom , meeting Mrs. Wilkes G-Daughter, and staff . Well worth the wait. Must be in line by 2pm to eat. CASH or CHECK only.

A bit expensive ($18) but food is worth it. Get in line EARLY - we did at about 1135am, got let in at 115pm, on a Friday. Delicious Southern food , liked the tea even though I normally don't.

If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Get there around 1030. And there is always a line . Exceptional food and service. Worth the wait!!!

Skip breakfast , get here at 10, wait til it opens at 11 and laugh at everyone else who turns up to join the 100-long line ... Incredible fried chicken . WORTH THE WAIT! BELIEVE!

Some of the finest soul food in Savannah. The banana pudding is a must. Don't forget to pick up a copy of the cookbook on your way out so you can (try to) replicate some of the dishes at home.

Actually, this restaurant is called Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House . The best southern food out there, and wonderful to sit with strangers passing food around the tables.

No matter you get there, be prepared to wait in line . Plenty of on street parking but make sure you have coins for the parking meters - 30 minutes for a $.25. Count on 1.5-2 hours to avoid tickets.

You.Must.Eat.Here! It's an experience. The line . The people. The food. Everything!
