So good, yet somehow remains under the radar. The Mera Mera Dip Soba is easily my favorite & it's made even better when they bring out a teapot of Soba Yu to water it down to drink. WinstonWanders.com
Don't miss the green tea affogato for dessert . Creative & delicious.
Best soba I've ever had. They also give you a little flame to keep your broth hot, and when you make a soup at the end everything is warm and delicious.
It's a small Japanese restaurant with a lot of healthy options ! For someone who is not tried soba noodles before go for warm soba . Warm Japanese style soba with chicken and Mochi ice cream were yumm!
Big fan of the Cold Sansai (veggie ) Soba on a hot summer night. Definitely get an assortment of cold veggie/seaweed starters as well .
Perfect, healthy, lunch . Handmade soba noodles served cold or hot. Tiny place with a bar and a couple of tables, hard to get in for dinner but usually easy for lunch . Small menu of appetz, a bargain.
TT 10 Cheap Eats: "Fresh, deeply nutty soba is the name of the game... The stamina soba is a sustaining warm bonito-based broth rich with sliced pork & chkn meatballs . Don't sleep on the silky tofu "
So many vegetarian options ! The cold soba was a perfect texture and the vegetable toppings were refreshing.
Sansai Soba is a great veggie pick! Once you're done you can request hot water to dilute the broth and drink it up! A small cup of tea is served post meal as well :)
The best soba in NYC!! Their kitchen is too close to seats.. Kinda disgusting to see their mess... However when I had a first bite of daikon mochi .. Oh my gosh! And the soba !! Awesome! But whoa,
I dream of the day I can walk in, sit down, and order at Cocoron without a 40 minute wait. The kind of place I would have loved to keep a secret, soba speaks to my soul, and they do it right.
I had the dipping soba with duck breast and chicken meatball . The broth was sooo flavourful and came with scallions and yuzu zest which made it ????????
It's a very small restaurant that seats about 20 people at most, so get there early (~5-10 min before open) if it's a busy day. If it's your first time, get the dipping stamina soba , delicious!
Try the kimchee ramen . Was a great balance of spicy and sour broth and delicate pork belly
My go-to here is the stamina soba , dip or soup . For spice, try the Pork Kimchee Dip . Ps. Love the Yammi Q and daikon mochi .
Small place, but amazing food and authentic japanese ... Try the famous stamina soba , or the japanese style curry soba ... Actually anything u try will probably be great
Try the Stamina Soba , which combines savory and briny seaweed-bonito stocks and features pork belly , scallion and a plump ginger-chicken meatball . It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011. Read more
His place is lots of fun! Very tiny but cozy and the food was phenomenal! Great vegan options

Get the Stamina dip Soba . The servers are very nice and willing to explain everything! We learned a lot about soba noodles today. Very healthy for you! Enjoy!
Slurp that JP curry soba with pork . The darker meat pairs excellently with the thin but well-flavored curry ????
This place only serves soba , one of the unsung heroes of Japanese cuisine. Be sure to get a side of chicken meatballs too
The cold sansai soba is a perfect refreshment on a hot summer day. Pair with kimpira for even more vegetal crunch!
Start with homemade soft tofu and then yuba dipping soba . Finish with green tea affogato (green tea ice cream with concentrated green tea sauce and corn flakes ).
Great assortment of soba -- the curry dipping soba is wonderful for the winters. The silken tofu app is amazing!
If you can handle spicy , the Tom Yum Dip Soba is where it's at! I tried the silk tofu but honestly wasn't a big fan of cold tofu - not sure what all the hype is about.
The coconut milk dessert : tapioca , frozen banana mint , mixed berry and condensed milk #summer yum #sogood
Best soba I have ever had so far. Warm, cozy place with limited seats . Must go.
Tiny, cramped, adorable noodle shop with pretty authentic Japanese home cooking . Had the yakko and kimpira appetizers , and the cold kimchi soba - all delicious.
All the veggie apps are amazing. The chicken meatballs & Stamina Soba are my other favorites. One strike- the soundtrack that they inevitably play everytime I'm there. I-pod please!
Come for lunch on the weekend and there's no wait. For summer - the cold kimchi soba is revolutionary. Served with just-cooked egg , cool and filling and refreshing.
Homemade silken tofu is delicious, especially with the toasted seaweed and sesame seeds that come with.
The noodles are soo good. Cash only . Lots of vegan options . Will come again ☺️
The pork kimchi soba is the way to go!
Pork curry soba is the jam . Still have dreams about it. Also, if you're into a creamy dessert , the tofu dessert is surprisingly decadent and delicious
Some of the best soba in Manhattan. Make sure to do a dip--kimchi is a non-traditional fave.
Chef-owner Yoshihito Kida amplifies flavor with toppings like pork kimchee , chicken meatballs , and Japanese curry .
All the soba is excellent, but the Japanese curry dip is other worldly.
Natto (fermented soybean ) on "cold soba is mixed with egg , soy, onions and crushed sesame seeds . This dish is an amazing taste experience, sour and sweet and salty at the same time." ($8.50). Read more
Delicious but either they swapped my large order with someone else's or they serve appetizer sized bowls of soup . Going to get pizza afterwards. 150lbs and hungry.
Duck soba so good, esp on cold day
Great place for soba , lots of different options - cold and hot. I prefer cold soba .
Get reservations or be prepared to wait for a while. Try the special meatball (nankotsu tsukune) and duck. Fried eggplant if you're a fan of eggplant. - Felicia H.
