Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center

Monona Terrace (1937-1997) was based on a design by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright . But controversy and debate caused the project to be delayed nearly 60 years. Wright died in 1959.

Do the $5 tour ; buy tickets in the gift shop . Museum exhibits are a level below gift shop .

The view is great, nice breezy terrace with live music .

Quiet place to chill and read books

Lake view on summer days are awe some .

Otis Redding's plaque is on the far left side (if facing lake ) by cafe . Kinda hard to find if you.dont know!

Great location and architecture .

Go to the patio and look outside at lake Monona.

Everyone has to agree that the outdoor patio is purty nice.

Was here Tuesday getting ready to talk to legislators.

Leave any conference early...because getting out of the parking lot BLOWS!!!!

Avoid the parking lot stairwells furthest from the main building unless you like the smell of urine and disappointment.
