Amazing wine and tons of fun. Menu changes all the time; Ruffian is doing things their way. But but but- if the cauliflower soup happens to be available, get it!
Incredible selection of interesting wines from around the world, including Portugal, Hungry & Georgia. Talk to the friendly owners / sommeliers at the bar , and have your mind blown glass after glass.
Great interesting wine list, tons from uncommon, old-world places - Georgia, Slovenia, etc. Knowledge , kind staff especially if there is a wait. Ventilation is poor - the back can be a bit smoky
A true gem of a place! They are truly hospitable , sharing way beyond their incredible wine and food offerings. I love that they are generous storytellers and that they engage genuinely with guests.
Fantastic atmosphere, fun and authentic and patient somms , and a wine menu that challenges and rewards all do a disservice to describing just how much of a gem this spot is.
Amazing wine bar with an incredibly unique wine list . Ask the the bartenders for a recommendation!
I had the chance to stop by while they were cooking, the lamb pie and beef brisket pies smelled amazing. Wine list very sophisticated

Good wine options
The wine and bubbly menu is amazing. The ham sliders are delicious. The service is brutish. Hold your patience. - Andrew Cerda
My favorite wine bar in the East Village. Excellent curated and limited list of wines by the glass, always changing. Happy hour from 5-7pm at $8 per glass let you improve your world wine education - Adrien
Clam bake is awesome for a big group. You get platters of more whole lobsters than you can eat - Jamie
Add ons (extra rich, spicy, tendon, extra beef) start at $2. A bowl of noodles can easily cost $20 but it’s worth it. Broth is flavorful. Wish they had more sides so I can enjoy more of their food! - Heidi
Get the Manhattan. It's excellent. Service was outstanding as well. - Matthew Ferguson
Great service from our waiter Shai (?). Nice menu. Loved the fried chicken and the lamb chops. Cosy and good cocktails! - That Food Chick (maria arlen)
