Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Yes, my family is acutely obsessed with Pappadeaux Seafood . This is a staple Houston classic & has been since my young days. We always start off with a cup of seafood gumbo then any classic fish dish .

Other than the fact I waited an hour (just me) & people who arrived after me were seated before I was; it was a pretty good meal. I had the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas and it was quite good.

Ask to sit in Marcus' section and ask him what he recommends. You'll never need a menu again. This guy knows his seafood . For me, I will never have any other servers but Marcus. He's amazing!!

One of the great Cajun places in Houston. It can be pricey , but it's so worth it. The jambalaya is to die for.

My husband and I both had the halibut and grilled octopus with the butternut squash and it was AWESOME!!! Sebastian was our server and he took really good care of us!

Best waiter hands down is Ocean (aka Larry). He made our night! He also works in the bar . Ocean is super friendly and goes the extra mile to make your experience special!!!

There is a crawfish/shrimp trio not on the menu . The dish has either protein served fried, in étouffée , and in a lemon butter sauce (or creole sauce depending on the location.) You're welcome!

The tilapia was amazing. So was the pecan praline cheesecake ! Excellent service .

Don't be afraid to order the special and request an alternative vegetable . It'll cost a little more but worth it when you'd rather something like asparagus over corn .

Love the stuffed shrimp and the baked potatoes are always great/ fully cooked. Swamp thing ultimate drink.

Rude greeters. I thought that i met Mrs. Pappadeaux the way the greet staff was walking around and talking to me. Corporate office need to make a visit and get things in order at that location.
