Moderna Museet

This state-run museum  is located in the beautiful Skeppsholmen island . The design and signage and the general space is nice to explore. A must-see for all art/design lovers when visiting Stockholm!

Iconic pieces from masters like Pollock, Dali, Matisse , Rauschenberg, Duchamp, Picasso . Also don't miss the exhibition of Adrian Villar Rojas, a young but great talent of our century.

The museum is good, but the free outdoor sculpture garden is amazing. Highly recommend walking around, seeing a few Calders, and playing eye spy around the island .

The Rafael Moneo–designed art museum on Skeppsholmen Island has a permanent collection with blue-chip works by Francis Bacon , Matisse , and more, as well as many of their Swedish contemporaries .

The area is serene & beautiful! Loved their modern art collection although was small compared to other museums . Couple of showrooms are dedicated to photographers esp Nan Goldin. Marcel Duchamp too.

Really beautiful. Entry is for free. The building and the area around the museum were very nice as well .

The special exhibit was nice, but the permanent collection was more exciting- some of the most famous, controversial and influential modern art pieces are here, such as Rauschenberg's "Monogram".

The temporary exhibitions are usually really good and the museum has an extensive collection of international artworks on semi-permanent display.

They've got some of my favorite works of art , well exhibited , and had an awesome time here. Moving through it isn't too terribly winding. Cafe is great and definitely a top museum choice for me.

Good permanent collection with Picasso , Manet, Warhol and Pollock. Entrance to the permanent collection for free. Very good restaurant with buffet and a great view .

A must see if you're in Stockholm, tons of famous works, overall an interesting and diverse collection. Free to see the permanent collection, payment to see the temporary one.

Definitely check out the Moderna Museet when you're in Stockholm. And don't forget to get a coffee at the Café Blom inside the building.

Great for those who want to do something else than shopping. Good coffee for a reasonable price, and I recommend a visit to the gift-shop.

What an amazing collection + free admission . Worth the visit.

I think I am not target audience for those kind of art . But some pieces were interesting, and you can see a Dali's artwork here, for free!

Small but worth it. Surprising amount of great artists like Warhol , Eames, Lichtenstein, and more. Don't forget to go downstairs, they don't tell you that and it's over half the museum

Good museum that you can visit in two hours or so. Beautiful location and interesting collection. Well worth a visit.

Don't forget to write wishes to Moderna Museet and to tag it to the live fence of trees near the entrance. It's very inspiring! And espresso in the bar is very good. Grab it and take an outdoor seat .

I went for the special yayoi Kusama exhibition which was fantastic, but I'd also recommend popping by the architecture and design wing.

Great little museum . A bit tricky to get though, and you cant buy tickets for public transit on the island . Buy one beforehand or try the sms tickets.

Was a bit let down by the recent Warhol exhibit . I had come up from Copenhagen just for that. Generally a lovely museum though.

Lovely building, good exhibitions and museum store, panorama view café over Strandvägen and restaurant with delicious Sat/Sun brunch ! Great surroundings for a walk.

The most amazing museum I've ever visited. Space organized in such way that you don't get tired even after 2 hours of observation

Amazing collection, very well curated. But HUGE! Need several visits to appreciate everything. Klint exhibition highly recommended.

Get a nice coffee in the coffee shop when you come in and wander through this beautiful building exploring modern art .

Fantastic modern art museum . Pro tip: Don't enable location on the audioguide app. For some reason it messes the audio up badly.

One of the nest galleries I've ever been to. Make sure you go to the architecture centre (attached) while you're there.

I go here for the gift shop alone. Great design gifts and excellent kids finds. Well curated.
