Reopened to the public in Oct 2018 after five years of restoration, and I like it! Walls are brightly colored (as originally intended), and the exhibition of the collections feels up to date.
You may be asked to leave your handbag in the locker (I had to, even though it's not really huge). In this case, be sure to have a spare 1kr coin (it will be returned once you open the locker later).
Great play rooms for kids! Several themed rooms with lots of surprises and artefacts to play with. Best to visit on a weekday to avoid a queue.
One of the greatest places in Stockholm. An endless source of inspiration. Whether it’s artworks, architecture or interior design of the space. Love every inch of it!
The paintings on the last floor is what makes it totally worth it. From Renaissance to 19th century, expecially very important russian artists . A must see in Stockholm!!
Bloody fantastic! Free as well . Stockholm’s own V&A.

Very nice patisseries. Very pricy. Atmosphere and space feels a little crammed. That said, no problem with toddlers/infants. Wheelchair accessible. - Dario Vodopivec
Nice, but a bit pricey lunch options in a nice museum setting. - Martin Jonasson
Well laid out modern art museum, with a good permanent collection, great exhibitions, nice location and cool atmosphere. - Frank V.
Place is as beautiful as the art! Loved! Highly recommended! - Sephora Achille
Great to get a membership since the exhibits change often! Beautiful harbor views from the pricey but high-quality café and restaurant. Good place on a rainy day. - Meredith
Worth a walk through, usually something going on. Sometimes a concert. Sometimes food trucks. Lots of cafés either way. - James Salt
Been to lots of royal palaces but this one really stuck out. Quite impressive. Intricate ceilings in many rooms, beautiful parquet floors, and some really wonderful portraits. Worth the trip. 👍🏽 - Adam Mycyk
