Great Californian food with an amazing creative Chef ( Michelin star ), great service, soft lights and nice decor. Try the wine pairing !
While all modern American restos preach local & seasonal, S&D does this in a league of its own, and in a tiny kitchen! Tasting menu is top notch as are wine selection and service. Deservedly 1*.
You MUST order the wine pairing . P.S. they serve the most amazing pastries . P.P.S. they've also got a super friendly staff and are one of the least pretentious 1-star Michelin restaurants !
As many others have said, the wine pairing is a must. As an option, they split the pairing between the two of us by pouring the glasses lighter. The service is truly exceptional without pretension.
Loved every bite! Delicious unpretentious food, executed to perfection. Lots of fresh greens and vegetables that add the X factor to every dish. Very good wine pairing , too!
Delicious tasting menu with excellent service. They texted us beforehand to get our preferences and adjust the courses. The customized menu was a nice touch as well .
The the tasting menu is exquisite and reasonable for SF. You must do the wine pairing ! Absolutely stellar evening - great way to win a foodies heart.
This is the best 'meal' (meaning, a well structured bunch of delicious dishes, not just a load of poorly matched fancy foods) I think I've ever had. Service is fantastic too.
Tasting menu only. Most ingredients come out of their own garden in Los Gatos. Since you are splurging already, you should definitely get the wine pairing . They have a ton of local wines .
Request one of the tables across from the small, open kitchen . It’s a lot of fun to watch the chefs in action. - Inspector
Fantastic service, beautiful food, excellent flavor, and a top-rate wine program. Definitely a splurge, but well worth it.
Yummy place. One of the best Michelin one star restaurant I've been. Very creative food. Definitely worth a try.
Don't skip the house-made breads that match the tasting courses, from brioche to buckwheat toast to a pretzel roll . – Green Guide Editor
I love this place. Amazing food and service. Every dish looks like a piece of art .
Really great farm to table fare. If you tell them it's your birthday, they'll make you a cake !
Delicious! The tasting menu was perfect with the pairings. A must go!
Really love their vegetables , and the atmosphere is really friendly
One of the top 3 places I have ever been to. Wow. Phenomenal.
Don't hesitate. Go for the four course menu. Interesting combinations that will dance on your palate. Veal Tongue was incredible.
Okay...this place is beyond amazing. There is a very quaint "lounge " if you are early where you can order a BTG.
Fantastic tasting menu . Go for the wine pairing .
Excellent New American. More innovative than traditional
Enjoyed the degustation but not the stuffy atmosphere.
The sommelier is a wizard. Get the wine pairings .
Go. ASAP. Staff is amazing and the food is incredible.
Only one choice at this the wine pairing , I recommend that, it's super beuno!!
Kinda pricey but nice.
Amazing. Loved the Petaluma chicken .
Reasonably priced wine list , and $20 corkage policy, but get it waived if you buy a bottle from their list.
They serve tea and coffee during the day. Best cup of coffee I've had in weeks!
Try the Wow Wow Wow And Some Bits Of Foamed Amazing
One Michelin star well-deserved

They've jacked up the prices for their tasting and wine pairings as they've gained notoriety but this place is quite special.
Seasonal menu that's consistently delicious. The atmosphere is French country-ish, but the food is all California farm fresh yumminess. Comfort food with a fine dining twist and excellent service. - Rebecca Goberstein
Walk in and sit at the bar and order a la carte. Better value than prix fixe and you don't need a reservation! - Tayson Hoang
There is a cover but worth it for a martini with a view. Ask to seat North or South views. - William Diaz
Great venue with hardly a bad seat in the house, though I prefer the main floor, especially for interactive shows. - Kyle Minor
