By the old and new city hall , this is where many outdoor events take place in Toronto - new year's eve celebrations, rallies, TV competitions, marathons end and start etc. Located by the Eaton Center

Melanie Ching

Skating in the winter is fun, but it's so busy that the ice is pretty choppy. In the summer it's a great meeting place, one of my favourite memories is seeing all of the chalk tributes to Jack Layton.

Nancy Bryans

Lots going on here in the winter. If you love to skate , you can rent them and it is fun at any age! They serve hot chocolate and some fast foods , but a bit pricey . Bring a thermos!

Evan Chen

Come here at night...the Toronto sign lights up and change colors every couple minutes!

Nathan Philips' pursued an aggressive agenda of demolishing heritage structures throughout the city , to 'modernize.' Large blocks of downtown, landmark buildings, and neighbourhoods were destroyed.

If it's a hot day, bring lots of water, sunscreen , hats and sunglasses, etc. There is shade under the walkways, but the main area gets screaming hot in the sunshine.
