Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site

This memorial structure contains the bodies of President Abraham Lincoln, his wife Mary Todd and three of their sons.

The War Memorials are beautiful, but I recommend driving unless you are up for a healthy walk through hills

I see someone mentioned a tour . Wish I could have taken it. Still, it's important to finish your stay in Springfield with a stop at the tomb.

Everything is good here....even the bathrooms are clean !

A solem place to pay respects to our greatest president and his family. Remember to rub the nose.

Don't go just before closing time. They'll lock the gate without checking to make sure all the cars are gone.
