Watch your step through the neighborhood , as the wooden boardwalk slats can be uneven in some places. Also, go on the tour ; it's totally worth the free admission price.
No trip to Springfield is complete without a tour of our beloved 16th president's home. Walk through the very rooms the Lincoln family carried out their daily lives before moving to the White House!
It's definitely worth the time to go see it! Ask about the free jr. ranger program for added fun/ education for kids! Our tour guide even made it fun for our little ones!
Make sure you run your hand along the handrail on the stairs. It's one of the few things that you are allowed to touch in the house that Lincoln touched as well .
admission is free but you have to get a ticket at the Visitor's Center. best to go on a good weather day so you can walk around the neighborhood . definitely worth visiting.
If you can catch a performance of The Lincoln Troubadours, don't miss it. They are almost surprisingly wonderful!

This is such an entertaining and fun place to come to. Children love it.
