Beautifully designed exhibits that make it feel like you can walk through history as a storybook. Be careful of getting too close to the exhibits , the proximity sensors are very sensitive
When journeying through the White House portion, be sure to watch the "Civil War in 4 Minutes" video. It gives quite an impression of the enormous scope and scale of the war.
The films (which aren't really films but 3D-type shows) are very cool. They don't provide much in-depth info, but for a quick overview of Lincoln and the era, they are worth the time.
An interactive journey through the life of Abraham Lincoln. Disney Imagineers designed this, by far the best Presidential library and museum in the US.
Opened in 2005 it is ranked as the most visited state-controlled presidential museum . This museum documents the life of the 16th U.S. President, Abraham Lincoln, & the course of the American Civil War
The museum was one of the most amazing experiences ever. It’s very clean/well-kept, and the volunteers are/were extremely knowledgable of the subjects.
There are two different theaters and both are must-watch. But be aware, there are some legit spooky and loud/shocking moments in both that might frighten younger kids.
This is probably one of the best museums I've ever been to! Plus the staff was very friendly .
A 'don't miss' when visiting Springfield. It was well worth the price of admission. My 12 y/o grandson was fascinated.
Absolutely incredible museum . The detail is astounding. Don't miss the two shows, they're amazing!
Awesome museum , very interactive. Great for kids third/fourth grade and up.
Be sure to bring in a jacket or sweatshirt....it's cold! Great museum ! As others have said - don't miss the two shows, especially Ghosts of the Library .
For small children the Through Lincoln's Eyes movie is kind of scary. War scene w/ loud noises, shaking, flashing, and smoke from "cannons" in the walls. There is a fun hands on play area for kids
a fabulous museum . the two walking tours are excellent - they tell the story of Lincoln's life. the Ghosts of the Museum presentation is a MUST SEE!
Don't Miss Ghosts of the Library and the Lincoln's Eyes show. Both are worth every penny spent on Admission to the Museum .
Don't go backwards. You'll find out he dies and it'll ruin the rest of the museum .
Plan to come on a day when the library is open and give yourself enough time to also go to Lincoln's Tomb.
Love how lifelike the statues are. Some of the sounds got overwhelming.
The private room out front is beautiful for group gatherings
Absolutely wonderful experience. Very cool exhibits and a very friendly staff
One of the best museums I've been to.
If you're pressing a penny and you want a ghosting of Lincoln's head on the embossed side, make sure the "heads" side of the coin is facing right and the "tails" is left.
It's probably why you're here in the first place, so be sure to see "Ghosts of the Library", and don't miss any of the displays. Give yourself at least 4 hours to see it all. Read more
The Everett copy of the Gettysburg address is occasionally on display from the vault. Check with staff if its out for viewing .
A must see. Just incredible.
The 2 shows are must-see. Especially the Holavision one. So cool

Make sure you allow time to fully explore the Museum . So many great exhibit !

Love the presidential campaign TV spots!
Bring a jacket . The air was cranked up in August
Great museum , but all the wax figures get slightly creepy
Watch out for the no photography signs in certain areas. Douche-bag security guards will make you erase pictures.
Have to atleast see Ghosts of the Library .
Ghosts in the Library
Nice place and very educational but not worth the $12 for adults. Not much here.
