The Scran & Scallie

Had some amazing Scottish inspired food for lunch on what was a wet and windy day. The star of the show was the Scran & Scallie pie though - loved the addition of the bone marrow sauce!

Insanely good. The beef pie , orange glazed sprouts and the chorizo potatoes were all just groan inducing deliciousness. Washed down with a cracking Italian red and live folk music . Perfect evening.

Great service. Good for kids . And the food was rad; all locally sourced and fresh. The kedgeree was particularly good. Oh, and so was the old fashioned, which took me to Neptune.

Less gastropub more restaurant with beer . One of the city ’s best chefs has this as his pet project. Duck leg confit , is wow! Soft play and kid friendly staff mean this is a good ‘coverall’ location.

We had the beef pie and the pork belly . Both were excellent and full of flavour. The pie is big. It's not cheap but it is definitely worth it. Very friendly staff .

Everything about this place was impeccable, from the service to the food to the Gins and the Whiskeys . Loved it! Try the meat pie and the fish n chips

I ordered Haggis as starter that was surprisingly tasty. The steak pie also a top experience. Juicy meat and crispy pastry cover. Staff are super sufficient and friendly .

I've never had Ham ,Egg & Chips until tonight, and after having it here I can't ever have it again! This place is amazing, the staff is great and the food is top notch!

Great gastro pub with delicious food, a good wine list and very friendly service ! I had the bone marrow with ox tongue which was incredible.

Best Scottish food in Edinburgh. Service is excellent. Always busy but they leave half the tables for walk ins if you're willing to wait or you need to book a few weeks in advance.

Great for dinner or lunch . Bookings are weeks in advance, but half the seating is reserved for walk-ins, so give it a go even without a reservation ! Sundays have local live musicians !

Had my first Haggis and loved it!! Steak pie was also amazing and draught beers were delish! A must visit!

Quite disappointed with this place. I had high expectations. The vibe & presentations were amazing but taste wise everything was okay at best. I’ve had better stews in random pubs than the steak pie

Great night out for a meal. Fairly decent sized group that ordered the grouse. General consensus was that it was perfect. As a Jamaican, I have a different view but hey........
