Had the chili dog , onion rings , nuggets and a bacon double burger with a frozen FO. FO is like a orangesicle slush and yummy. Everything else including the chili dog was average. Cool place though 3/5
I have eaten approximately 1200 naked dogs in my life SO FAR. One time, I ate 12 of them in a sitting. Tip: eat some naked dogs and try to catch up.
Skip the burgers . Go for the world-famous chili dogs . Ask for onions ; you’ll get ‘em raw and diced and in a wax-paper-wrapped pouch to add as you see fit.

The chili dog is the classic item here, but branch out and give the chili cheese-burger a try (dont forget to add some chili powder too). For a side, the onion rings are definitely the way to go.
The original Varsity was opened in 1928 and is the world's largest drive-in. On days when the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets are playing a home game, over 30,000 people visit The Varsity.

Five chili dogs , four regular dogs and a cheeseburger is Obama ordered when he visited the Varsity! Will your kids follow his footsteps? Want more tips? Check out Kid Friendly Summer Fun - Atlanta!
Great spot for after the Dragon Con parade this year. The chili-cheese dog is my favorite. Don't think I have ever bothered to try a hamburger here
The chili/slaw dogs and onion rings are great, and wash it down with a frozen orange . Its nothing like our Coney Islands in Detroit but its close enough!
The chili dog is absolutely delicious and I don't like chili dogs . Cheap but still an institution well worth visiting.
The onion rings are the best! My favorite thing to do here is to eat in our own vehicle at the drive-in part of the restaurant !
It's more about WHERE you eat than WHAT you eat, but get a classic combo meal and make sure you get either an orange drink or a frozen orange - you can get sodas anywhere.
This local institution continues to entertain and feed loyal fans of classic drive-in food. Being part of the crowd is part of the fun, as the staff hollers out the orders and lines move fast. Read more
Not the healthiest place to eat but definitely worth visiting if you are visiting Atlanta or haven't been to the Varsity in awhile. Good food but quite greasy & prepare for some Tums or Pepto Bismol!
Pimento cheeseburger , chili cheese dog , onion rings , fries , peach pie & orange shake . YES!
Chili cheese slaw dog ! It's worth every calorie. The slaw was not too dry, not too wet. Stop thru on your road trip.
Good food for trying to sober up after a long night out, great after hours spot, or for family lunch .
Chili cheese dog is the taste of growing up in the South. Cherry coke and peach tea do not get refills, so be aware of how thirsty you are when you order. Allow for extra time to order. Always crowded
The amazing thing is the following. This Restaurants food quality is horrible. It's more of a nostalgic place if anything. So somebody must know a lot of people that support the name.
The chili dog is really good, and the onion rings and fries were great. The single bacon cheese I had though was a bland. A fun place to have a meal, that's for sure :)
Small F.O., chili dog , the only onion rings in the world I eat because they were the first ones I ever had and the best!
It’s an ATL institution! You haven’t really experienced Atlanta until you’ve answered the question.... “What’ll ya have?”

Feeling nostalgic for school cafeteria burgers , with limp fries , and ice-tea where you taste the corn syrup first? This is the spot. Worst burger combo I've eaten. The place's packed. Come on Atlanta.
You can't come to Atlanta and not eat at the world's largest drive-in. Greasy but delicious. It's definitely a tourist attraction , but with good reason.
Hot dogs are okay. More hype than anything, but I love hotdogs . Onion rings are sweet, dont forget the Varsity Orange drink with light ice
The Glorified Bacon Cheese Burger is perfect. I loved the retro feel and all the space.
Gooood dogs. Nothing special about the onion rings I ate. I had an impatient server but everyone else seems fine. The seating areas are awesome. Go back to school and watch ESPN in one of the desks!
Everything is great, but in particular the hot dogs and onion rings !
Make sure to wear one of the hats and get the frosted orange drink
I had a delicious burger and amazing onion rings today. Oh yeah, don't forget to order a Variety Orange drink ! ;)
The first time I came to the Varsity was in 1982, when I was on my way to Carrolton, GA for the district spelling bee with my 6th grade teacher , Mrs. McCleary, who was Mrs Ingram at the time!!!!!!

A classic in the heart of Atlanta. If you enjoy hot dogs , this is a must! Lines get very long during peak eating hours though so beware.
First time here and it was amazing! The Yankee burger is highly recommended! Shakes are good too! - Nikki Mitchell
The farm burger. Good meat with simple ingredients make for an excellent, affordable meal. Cheers! - Logan Horton
It's pricey, but the best of the handful of aquariums I've visited over the years. Highly recommended. Kids love it. Adults, too. - Kristopher Weiss
