102nd Floor Observatory

Great views of the city from top but, in my opinion I'd suggest to stick to the 86th floor deck as the height difference is really slight and you still get to see a spectacular view of New York City

Went to 86th around 6pm for a while, then waited sunset on 102nd. It was marvellous even if quite crowded . 102nd has windows, don't expect great shots from up there, but the view is just great.

Less traffic in the evening and on clear days much better with the lights switch on. Safe the extra $20 for the 102nd floor as it will not add much value . The height difference is to little.

My favorite tourist activity in NY. You get such a cool sense for how the city is laid out.

Iconic building that you must visit at least once. Spectacular view of the city

Pay the extra money, online, for the express! Lines are crazy long, and express passes all... Just make make sure that you constantly tell people that you have "Express" tickets!

Get the Express Pass . On busy days it is well worth it because you skip ALL the lines ! It saved us 2 to 3 hours.

Save the extra $20 for the 102nd floor as it will not add much value . The height difference with the 86th is too little.

I think this is actually the 102nd floor..? Enclosed and not windy, and the view is not too different from the 86th floor . I'd say visiting the 86th floor is good enough!

Just take your time. You'll never get a better view of the Big Apple, so drink it in from all sides.

It took us 4 hours to go up but we did it, if you see the line out near to Starbucks in the corner go somewhere else. Use the NY Pass!!!

Don't spend your money on a useless view . There isn't any difference between the 86th (open air) and this 102nd (non open air). I gave 20$ for nothing.

Go towards evening so that you get the sunlight and the twinkling lights.

Check the estimated time of sunset before you go so you'll get before and after pictures of the views .

Attention : le 102e étage ne donne pas sur l'extérieur : on contemple la vue à travers une vitre. Le 86e étage suffit largement.
