Loved this place. Independent bookstore with a wonderful selection of creatively categorized books . Mainstream and eclectic , classics and contemporary . Definitely worth a visit.
Large, eclectic selection with a heavy focus on politics and academia. Not a great stop for a light read, but plenty for the lifelong learner and fine literature buff.
A favourite among the many bookstores still remaining. The poetry section is almost unrivaled, especially the paper-cover prints . The staff is superb and the conversations fascinating.
Small, yet charming bookstore with a good selection on poetry , literature and politics
Very good selection of books in a compact environment. The manager is fun and super helpful.
Small but well-stocked bookstore .
Absolute best poetry section in DC - wonderfully curated!
Joe works Friday and Sunday nights. Be sure to say hi and ask for suggestions.
The sidewalk display tables nearly always have a can't miss deal.
Great place, lots of great books and the owner was nice.
A great independent book store .
Solid selection, nice atmosphere. Worth a gander
Great collection!
Best poetry selection in town .
One of the best independent bookstores left in the area.
A wonderful, small used bookstore with a quirky collection. Staffed entirely by volunteers with the proceeds going to support Bryn Mawr. - Stephen Sanders
A very cool place to simply chill-lax. Best place to hang is in the bar area. The night I wS there it was jammed packed so we got a table and shared a peach cobbler dessert and coffee w/booze - Mikael Wagner
Wonderful bookstore with plenty of charm. Smells like old books and glue with things in every nook and cranny. Has its own organization but might take a couple visits to appreciate it. - Stephanie H.
Totally swoon worthy! Obsessed with the paper and stationary selections! - Christin Butler Grissom
Garden is quiet and beautiful. Perfect for a picture! - Candace Pfeifer
