If you want to see a lot of sea turtles (Honu), this us your place. Walk to the beach and they are just hanging out in the pools. Amazing.

From a distance, check out the turtles around sunset . Careful where you walk in the water, you might step on one!

Amazing park , with a great beach where you can swim with turtles in an ancient fishpond. Awesome for kids. Park by the harbor for the beach ,so you skip the hot trail then walk back to the petroglyphs.

Casey Anderson

Discover an old Hawaiian fishing village and ancient fish ponds at this National Historical Park between the airport and Honokohau harbor . Bring a towel and sunscreen if you'd like to enjoy the ocean.

Best time to see sea turtles is in the afternoon when the tide comes in.
