The attractions were a bit tacky but the staff (and wild peacocks ) made all the difference. Very friendly . Look out for Dana (I think) the manager. Great dude, awesome suggestions at the food court ha
There is a fair amount to see and do here. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was a great way to spend a few hours as a family. Blacksmith demonstration was very interesting.
Beautiful park . Most everything is outdated but I kind of like that they've left it alone. Peacocks are beautiful especially the albino ones. Think about the explorers being here 500 years ago!
Planetarium show needs some updating and modernization. The actual water from the fountain is sulfurous but if it makes you young who's complaining? Cannon firing and weapons demo is good
Cool experience to drink from the actual "Fountain of Youth". Not sure if it was worth the $15 for the whole experience though. Workers were very polite and were well versed in their knowledge .
This place is wonderful! If you love history you'll love coming here. Not to mention all the peacocks !
A little cheesy but very beautiful location. We were there duing the Maritime festival and it made for a nice relaxing late morning/early afternoon.
I'm not normally interested in demonstrations or people in garb, but I encourage you to listen to the gentleman giving insight into the Native American culture. Eye opening, and kind of life changing.
Take a sip of the sulfer spring water that was thought to bring eternal youth . Tell us how you like the taste! There's also a planetarium .
Neat park to tour . Water has lots of sulfur . Don't miss the boat build, cannon blast, peacocks , & views !
Lots of peacocks . The Fountain of Youth water in the gift shop is filtered and tastes much better than the water coming out of the spring. Still it's fun to taste the water from the spring beside the
This attraction was created by Luella Day McConnell in 1904, & was named after the Spanish explorer Ponce De Leon. It is said that anyone who drinks from the Fountain would have their youth restored.
Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon landed in America while supposedly searching for the “Fountain of Youth.” Pedro Menendez de Aviles landed here in 1565. Watch this video for more info. Read more
Much more interesting than I expected. It wad worth the admission price and time. And it has a parking lot .
The bbq right outside of the park was surprisingly delicious.
Best classic attraction ever. It is like going back in time to the 1950's or even 1550's, ha ha
A must see if you are visiting.
Check out the gift ship in the back even if you don't go to the actual fountain and you can see some of the peacocks too!
Great place to spend a few hours. Lots of history and beautiful grounds.
My favourite place to visit in Saint Augustine.
Water is untreated Florida groundwater so smells/tastes like sulfur , guess thats the price for eternal youth . The rest of park is rather tacky and stretches to find relevance.
A definite must see in St. Augustine! There's a lot to check out here. The fountain , the planetarium , the Globe, and much more. Awesome place!
St. Augustine is rich in history and home to the Fountain of Youth. Can’t hurt to check-in here, right?
Seemed a bit expensive to get in to me. Just got some water at the gift shop .
Water didn't taste bad at all, don't be nervous about trying it. The canon firing was great. It was loud to me! Bruce did a nice job with the presentation.
Best part is feeding peanuts to the squirrels!

Prayer of Saint Francis
Interesting. Water doesn't taste good but it's Florida
Planetarium , archeological dig, peacocks
pretty peacocks found here
Snack shack has the coldest beer in town . Try the pickle on a stick!
Go watch them fire off the cannon by some Spaniard in his regalia then cool off and take a nap in the Planetarium .
I came, I drank, I'm still old. This is a great place.
The cannon fire is great!!! Make sue to drink the Fountain of Youth water ....I feel younger already. Haha
A dog friendly attraction !
Segway tours are here. The snack shack has the coldest beers in town .
Not much to see. Kind of a let down but the fact that it was the beginning of our nation's history is pretty darn cool.
Why I didn't know this earlier? I have to tell it Jacky!
The water from the fountain of youth tastes like someone farted in your mouth!!!!
Let's see how young I can become
Water is tap water
Hold your nose and drink up.
Drank from the fountain . Feeling younger already.
Water taste salty. Cannon shot is not as loud as they say it will be. Beautiful peacocks roaming around.
Get a sample of the water and feed the peacocks ...neat!
Wear lots of mosquito repellent!!!
There is nothing to 'discover' in the Discovery Globe except a 1970's LED Globe with a boring voiceover worse than Epcot.
Try the spring water Read more
The water tasted like copper and I don't feel any younger.

I walked down the street and touched the outside walls of the foundation. You can tell that it's an old house, it was built between 1803 and 1817. St. Augustine was founded in 1565! - Daniel Williams
There new exhibit on the beginnings of the St. Augustine settlement was really nice! It had so much detail and information....loved it! - Martha Hughes
Wonderful tour. Jeremiah was the best guide we had on any of our tours in St. Augustine. This store had an amazing collection. - John Junior
Was a neat place to check out. A lot of interactive things for you to try. Yes, it is a tad spendy in my opinion. - Justeen Keller
