A great spot for Yucatecan food tucked away in a cool mercado. Get the panuchos . They’re a Yucatecan specialty: fried tortillas stuffed with refried black beans , turkey , avocado , and lettuce. Read more

Pollo Asado plate is fantastic, when accented with their amazing habanero hot sauce .

AMW

Mexican market counter serving Yucatán style tacos and banana leaf tamales . Not far from USC's Coliseum and Exposition Park .

My friends brought me here, and I had a great time. Wasn't terribly hungry but what I had tasted amazing. Will stop by this place if I see it anywhere near me. Definitely need to check out gift shop .

Malcolm Bedell

The cochinita pibil is like a wormhole to the Yucatan , right here in South LA. It is exactly, 100% right. Don't forget a bottle of habanero hot sauce .

DrinkCoba

A classy infusion of Yucatecan dining… Chef Gilberto Cetina has created an exciting menu from a wide array of cuisines…Try the Panuchos..they are warm and tasty center will have you asking for more!

Jennifer

I love this place so much that I bought their cookbook before I left LA to move to Austin. Now that I'm back, I try to visit as often as I can. Nothing is bad on the menu.

Rong Nguyen

The taste and flavor of Yucatan . Panuchos here is amazing. It is a crispy corn tortilla filled with black bean with turkey , onion , tomato and avocado . Hot haberno sauce is awesome n spicy !

Vanessa Sandoval

We tried 4/5 of the tacos as a way to sample their best stews and grilled meats , instead of filling up on sides. Take a bottle of their own habanero hot sauce home with you.

Serious Eats

Chichen Itza serves Mayan and Yucatan-style Mexican food ; opt for the cochinita pibil with a splash of habanero salsa .

One of the 3 best Peruvian places in L.A. (Mo-Chica) is also in the Mercado's food court , so you can hit 2 birds with one stone, if you're feeling especially gluttonous.

Chris Abney

Very eggy papadzules are wonderful with my Mayan coffee

Marisa Moran

Great food! Definitely not your typical Mexican food !

Emmisaur

pollo pibil, ceviche and horchata were excellent.

Les Chiennes

The braza de reina is an amazing dish. Loved it, loved it! Goes great with their scorching hanerno sauce.

Les Chiennes

Thought the papadzules would make a good lunch choice but it is a heavily egged dish. Chichen would do well to change this item to their breakfast category.
