Hama Sushi

Traditional sushi/sashimi bar (no maki except for the California Roll ). The food was really good especially the eel and the sea urchin . The waitresses and itamaes were quick and super friendly .

This Little Tokyo restaurant has the appropriate look and feel of a Japanese sushi joint. The value is high, with serious chefs putting out fresh sushi of great variety. Must-order the spicy tuna rol.

Walk in, put your name down, it's a small place that's worth the wait. A delightful sushi experience, big fan of the salmon sashimi , toro sushi , spicy yellowtail roll (cut). Buy the chefs a bud light !

Everything you expect from a real sushi bar . Freshest fish and masters at work. The hand rolls are amazing, so tasty in a perfect nori wrap .

Get everything. Delicious soft shell crab as appetizer . All their fish , hamachi , tuna , toro , snapper , halibut , is incredibly fresh. Best hand rolls I've had in LA (crunchy seaweed , not gigantic). Yum

Though patrons tend to be sushi purists (no designer rolls here), don’t expect an uptight crowd. Chefs are friendly and the buttery salmon , snapper with sea salt , and yellowtail collar are winners.

Spicy Tuna Handroll is my fav and please try the yellow tail or red sniper (the sniper just melted away on my tongue ) hmmm definitely like music in your mouth ;) the chef 's are amazing !!

Easily my new favorite sushi joint ! Had the spicy yellowtail , spicy salmon , spicy albacore and the off-menu Obama roll (all handrolls ). UH-mazing!!!

It is a $12 minimum for each person, which isn't hard to do. They will also give you sliced oranges if you spend $20 a person. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Get the hand rolls !

Always fresh, good quality sushi and sashimi . My favorites are the albacore sashimi and the spicy yellowtail hand roll .

Worth the wait. They validate parking in the Japanese Village Plaza lot on central btw 1st and 2nd. Komasa next door isn't bad if the wait's too long.

Any of the hand rolls are to die for, but i can not get enough of the Spicy Salmon hand roll !! Also, you go to do the Albacore sashimi !

Let's don't talk about how much exceptional here ! The best sushi I've ever tried. Tuna is something else and so good !!!

Regular sushi , nothing impressive. Prices are a bit high given the quality of the sushi . Service feel rushed.

Don't go this place. It's wasting time and money. I waited for 2 hours, but their sushi was not special at all. They didn't apologize even though they forgot what I ordered. So mean. This place sucks.

Yummy, but they don't publish their prices. Its you are ok with just blindly ordering, this place is great. Spicy Tuna hand roll with shiso leaf.

This place is DEFINITELY overhyped. The sushi wasn't exceptionally fantastic, the wait time is really long and turnover is extremely slow, service is sloppy when busy. Not worth your time.

My favorite spot deffinitly try spicy yellow tail handroll , albacore sashimi and the yellow tail collar.
