Absolutely amazing sushi , well worth the wait. Try the Scallop , spicy tuna , freshwater eel & salmon sushis . Really good soy & the wasabi packs a punch. Great service & atmosphere. No wifi , no signal.

Omakase at the bar is excellent, but you would fare well ordering off the menu as well . Reservations are for tables dining a la carte only. Lively vibe for a sushi spot , fun for a Friday night dinner .

I have never been to Sushi Gen but I've heard all great things. Looking forward to visiting. My favorite include salmon nigiri , spicy tuna rolls , wakame and cucumber salad and tempura ofcourse

Lunch special Sashimi is very good here! Very fresh! One suggestion is that you should ask the waiter for sushi rice . They will charge you one extra dollar for it but its worth it! Try this place!

Trust the chefs at the bar . The toro and Japanese snapper are particularly awesome, but everything here is great. Prices aren't transparent and omakase can get expensive (but the fish is worth it!).

Sashimi Platter , Shrimp Tempura - some of the best fried food in the area, fresh fresh fresh worth the wait if there is a line .

Though slightly roomier than neighboring Little Tokyo spots, Sushi Gen still gets packed to the gills thanks to an impressive lineup of specialty fish (sayori halfbeak, kanpachi, monkfish liver ).

Get here early. Sit at the bar or you're wasting what's great about this place. Tell the itamae to choose for you and just keep the delicious sashimi coming. Prepare to pay handsomely.

If you here for the lunch special , be here early. I arrived about 45 min. to an hour before the store opened and there was 15 people already in line . At 11:30 am, there were 40 people waiting to eat.
