Wow! The burgers are huge and hands down one of the best burgers in NYC. These sixteen ounce treats don't need anything on them. Also the French Onion is a must.
The Old Homestead serves up 28 day dry aged USDA prime grade prime rib dubbed the Empire Cut. $55. Certain customers will special order a double rib cut. $110. Read more
What’s not to like here. My favourite steakhouse in NYC . I’ve had the scampi tempura , schrimp coctail , bacon slabs, 19oz filet mignon on the bone, truffel lobster mac and cheese , and I loved it :)
Aged rib eye for two med rare was perfect. Truffle dusted bake potato was not hot, too bad given the truffle herbed butter accompanying it. Wedge salad easily split. Great dinner with Malbec
Calamari was AMAZING. 18oz NY strip had NOT 1piece of fat. Scallion&filet was delicious (pictured). Martinis were phenomenal but small unlike previously mentioned. Great location!
All I have to say is Bacon wrapped filet mignon ! One of the oldest steakhouses . Great service and food. Decor and drinks were perfect. Not to big, parking is horrible but its the city .
This 1968 relic is rumored to have invented the “doggie bag” to pack up its massive portions . Chow down on a giant cut of Kobe beef and a cauldron of truffle mac and cheese . Read more
NYC oldest steakhouse . Have the rib eye for two aged 40 days. You're in the heart of Chelsea so enjoy everything around you.
Thick and meaty! That’s how I would describe the $45 Kobe burger . The burg is a generous 20 oz and is a solid 8. I’m disappointed at the little amount of fries for this massive burger .
Amazingly good filets and lobster . Around top 5 lifetime. The spinach side was nothing to write home about, but that wasn't the main dish anyway. Also, great drinks & atmosphere. They don't rush you.
Classic steakhouse that does not disappoint. I have visited numerous times and had the t-bone, the bone-in ribeye and the bacon wrapped fillet and all were awesome.
Yediğim en iyi new york sirloin . Ayrıca soğan halkasına dikkat. The best new york sirloin ever, also pay attention to the onion rings . The best
Food is great, service is wonderful. Not the most generous portions in the world though. The porterhouse steak for two ($98) left us (two men) a little hungry. The servings are a little small.
Everything from the seafood tower to the drinks to the steaks are as good as you'd expect from one of the top, old school steakhouses in NYC .
Steaks here are top notch and in true NY style, portions are generous. Steak au poivre was simply delicious.
A little piece of history in a continually evolving meatpacking district neighborhood . The Filet Mignon is wonderful. Great wine list , terrific service .
Great and fun restaurant/diner with spectacular shakes and cocktails , as well as amazing burgers and an out-of-this-world Sandwich !
Great for special occasions . Food was delicious. Cream spinach and NY strip are great.
Amazing Steaks . Excellent service and high quality food. Try the porterhouse steak for two!
While the atmosphere is not the greatest (it’s awfully loud ) you can’t argue that the Kobe Beef Burger isn’t one of the best in the city and worth it’s lofty price! Plus it comes with tater tots !
The STEAKS!!! Everything is just delicious. For appetizers , French onion soup and the garlic Parmesan bread was unique.
For you're craving that old school steakhouse food and vibe... Old Homestead serves up classically delicious steak , seafood and sides.
Kobe burger was delicious. Also the calamari and rock shrimp collision is a must.
It feels like this place can be hit or miss depending on folks expectations. It's quite expensive so presumably expectations are high but they should be muted. It's good, it's fine service.
One of the best in NY, in addition to steak their seafood appetizers and sides are also top notch
Vic and I go to Peter Lugars just too many times. I wanted the Kobe steak . It's my birthday so it's worth it. I never paid $350 for a steak before. Oh boy
Ribeye special, crab cocktail , and rock shrimp tempura
The filet was perfectly cooked for medium rare. Sides were decent but the meat can't be beat. Great for a power dinner with colleagues.
One of the best burgers in town . Truffled Mac & cheese also cool
I had the best rib-eye steak ever! Great steakhouse , maybe the best in the city !
The steaks are amazing and their wine list is intimidatingly large.
The one and only. Salads , calamari , t-bone on this visit. All were perfect.
The Macaroni and cheese with truffles is the truth! The Kobe Burger was probably the best I've ever tasted.
Awesome! The bacon wrapped scallops for app, rib eye steak and truffled Mac and cheese are AMAZING!
Best steak in NYC! Ask for Ceasar, he'll take good care of you! The Shrimp appetizer are the biggest I've ever seen.
Bacon burger is outstanding but huge!
Get to order HE GOTHAM RIB STEAK ON THE BONE 32oz. So GOOD
This is the best lunch special and the best burger . $19 for kobe burger , tater tots , caesar salad , and glass of wine . It can't be beat.
Try the chef 's special bread preparation - looks like a game of Jenga with awesome Alfredo type dipping sauce - SO good!!!
The service is horrible, but the burger is hilarious/good. Its like they took a filet and ground it up and made a full-pounder burger out of it. Actually thats probably exactly what they did...
Classy . Crab cake was very good. Friendly , nice servers.
Kobe burger lunch deal for $19 is worth it. Fresh burger , tater-tots and start with a crisp ceasar salad
Don't come here for the service. Unlike the high end NYC steakhouses , its a hit or miss here.
Spring for the flavorful strip steak or a well-seasoned prime rib .
While the steaks here are top notch, I definitely suggest splitting the Homestead Burger as an appetizer ! Read more
Steak , vegetables , even the bread . You will love it!
Great place if you're with your buddies and you don't wanna talk about life's sh*t. Or if you wanna be boisterous and obnoxious.
Cannot go wrong with this one! Best in the city !
Start with the kobe meatball . You won't regret it!!
The Empire Steak is a LOT of meat!
We love the crab cakes as well as the 3 steak sampler special. Mouth-watering food for when you're in NYC. - Slacker Radio
Love the Filet Mignon Au Poivre , with mash potatoes n a malbec.......... Great steaks - Fabio
Love this place but gets quite crowded so bring your patience with you! - Jewels K
