I am so full and happy: Kim chi jun and vegetable tofu soup made me feel this way. Go here, order these things, and over eat and you’ll feel good, too.
Samgyetang is sooo good! Perfect chicken and ginseng flavor balance. Tofu soups yum!! Banchon is so fresh and bi bim bops also tasty. Get all of them and have a feast because portions are pretty big!
Loved Loved Loved. Place looks sketchy from the outside, but so genuine! Service is supper kind and generous. Food is delicious! Tofu soup and spicy rice .
Amazing soondubu , and passion fruit soju . You can get banchan refills! This is a great spot to hang with friends and catch up over hot soup and seafood pancakes .
"This is my go-to meal after a long winter surf. When the bones are chilled all the way through, this soup will warm it all right up." Chef Charlie Hallowell Read more
Loved their 해물전 (seafood pancake ); tasted just like mom makes it. The kimchi soondubu (tofu soup ) for me is a must at any tofu house, can’t go wrong.
It's all sooooooo good. It's all handmade from the Kimchi , to the go-Chu-Jong (they grow their own soy beans ) best Korean food the the Bay Area !!! -hands down.
Has quite a few options for the vegetarians . They serve the food quick. For a group of 9, we got all our entres within 5-7 minutes after ordering. Some of the entrees come with the kimchi soup
The soon is nourishing and filling. My default is mushroom , spicy . If you take #smalls, they'll bring out a special tofu soup for them along with kid-size utensils. #TinyMights
Get the kimchi pancake and any of the Tofu Soups !!! One of the best winter restaurants around.
at the end of your meal, ask for tea and they'll add it to the stone bowl rice .
Clearly one of the most authentic Korean restaurants in the Bay Area . Korean approved. Ignore the basics.
They'll make the soondubu super spicy if you ask them, a pretty decent Korean tofu soup place , with the old school community eat bench tables.
Great service. Yummy tofu soup . The pumpkin pancake is great. Also the spicy pork was delicious.
Make sure to ask for egg for your soondubu - it’ll poach in the hot soup
All the soups here are really good! One of the better place for tofu soup if that is up your alley.
Great food but there’s a high likelihood your car will be broken into of you parked nearby.
Love the tofu soup . Galbitang also good. Pancakes excellent. Fried chicken meh
Try their soy cold noodle (summer only). First bite without the salt, then season it - it tastes so different
So much food! I ordered an appetizer but there was no need to. The tofu soup is sooo good, I dream of it!
Most authentic Korean food in the Bay area . The best banchan ever. Must get the flat fish and soon dubu combo for $15.99
Favorite soondubu in the east bay . Good side dishes and authentic taste!
All the veggie options are amazing!! The staff is friendly and super accommodating!
Delicious! We got there at 5:50, no wait. Our favorite was the medium spicy tofu soup . Yum.
tofu soup runs really spicy here (also really rich flavor!)
The rice is made to order in stone pots. It's very special to have your personal pot of steaming rice , or a larger pot for the table. They say it taste better this way, instead of the rice cooker.
Amazing spicy tofu soup and try the seafood pancakes - delicious!!
Good tofu soup but the real winner is the seafood pancake
Everything!
Ban Chun is the best here! (Ban Chun are the little dishes they serve before the meal, you can order more if you run out!
Authentic Korean food in good portion!
If you get a rice dish, leave room for the complimentary stew they'll bring along with your entree.
They have good soon tofu soups and even offer a vegetarian one. Price is $10.99.
The soybean noodles are great!
The specials are huge
There is a lot of food. Bring a friend.
they have a good variety of soups that will have something for everyone here!
Kimchi tofu soup is ALWAYS good!
Order any of the tofu soups . You can't go wrong.
Buddaejiggae!
Kimchi pancakes ????
Nice n spicy ????
Try the Bonchon - #datenite
No Korean restaurants in bay area taste better than here.
Be nice and you *might* get decent service here even if you're not korean.
Home in a bowl. Even if you are not Korean.
Ask for a raw egg to put in your tofu soup
They don't use MSG.
Not worth the cost. Mediocre.
Riquísimos todo. 감사합니다
My current favorite in KoNo. Home style cooking that's delicious and not overspiced. The dol sat bibimbap is classic and absolutely packed -- I rarely finish the whole thing. - J Li
My go to spot for Korean BBQ in Oakland. Get the all you can eat if you're hungry. Pork belly and beef are my favorites. - Miguel Yupangco
The chicken thighs are great. Remember that this is a college town so they designed this place to go with a group. A pitcher of beer and Korean BBQ? Perfect - Eric Weiss
CRAZY delicious ice cream. Intense, real flavor; incredibly creamy texture. In a word: Yum. - Martha Hill
Had the Bay Laurel and nutmeg ice cream tonite, love the exotic flavors, and the periodic local art displays here are cool. - Frank Kim
Recently rebranded KP Plaza, this Korean supermarket (and housewares shop) offers great weekly deals, fresh vegetables & pre-made dishes. At 9 pm they discount their hot foods: kimbap, japchae, etc! - John W
