The museum is actually quite big and you'll need at least 2-3 hours to get through most of it. I really liked the section about Canada 's history with war and how it dates back to the aboriginals.
Free on Thursday afternoon and open late . Must try on the helmets/hats and old uniforms for the Canadian navy, air force and forces, great for family get-togethers
One of Ottawa's finest building's architecturally speaking... Museum is ok if you like war museums . Cafe has an excellent view .
Being American it was definitely eye-opening visiting my museum that wasn't all about how great America is.
Exhibits are amazing and they also sell my favourite beer .
Spent a good few hours here and found it really interesting. The 100th Vimy anniversary exhibit is very moving and a must see

Christmas in the Trenches - imagine that! Visit the museum to get an appreciation for Canada 's role in the world.
It was ok but i found it was less big on the historical details of war than it was on purveying viewpoints and politically correct stuff.
I loved! Everything is amazing!
Be prepared to spend at least half a day inside!
Great archives.
