(Best of Boston 2013-LOBSTER ROLL) Improper Bostonian says, "Here's the deal with lobster rolls : The whole point is to showcase the lobster . If you start getting too fancy , you'll mask the flavor."
Amazing lobster roll , lobster bisque , and stuffed scallops . Quick, delicious meal. A little pricey but if you're visiting it's worth it.
This place has a great lobster roll . I like that they offer a regular size ($15) and a large ($18). Large is pictured. Definitely worth it.
Located in an unassumingly special trailer, James Hook & Co. offers the best lobster rolls , with lots of tail & claw meat, light on the mayo . Open year round for lunch , expect long lines when sunny.

Nothing fancy in terms of seating but the food is delicious. You have to try: the lobster roll , lobster Mac and cheese and the clam chowder
Best Lobster Roll I've ever had! A must visit in Boston. The lobster bisque and crab cake are pretty great too
By far the best lobster roll I've ever had. Stuffed with meat--this is the real deal. Sometimes they give free samples of clam chowder which is also delicious!
Really yummy lobster rolls with a good amount of meat. Pretty expensive - recommend just buying the meat separately and making the roll yourself to save money and get more meat!
Looks like an institution by the harbour . $19 for a large lobster roll . Cheaper than the average? Yes. Tastier? No. The steamed whole lobster with butter looks good though. Will go for that next time.
This is a great place for lobster rolls ... only thing missing is an ice cold beer . You have to try it if you are visiting boston. Love it.
Lobster rolls are A+. Jam-packed with claw, tail and knuckle meat, these are the real deal.
Get the small lobster roll (good price!) and the clam chowder . Sprinkle with Old Bay . Be happy.
I like to get my meal then eat it silently and alone inside one of the porta potties. I do some of my best thinking in there.
Lobster roll is only $12, however.. if you're a lobster roll fanatic like myself, you need to know that it's on a small sub roll - not a warm buttery, grilled top split hot dog bun .
Wow! Everything I had was OUT OF THIS WORLD, from the lobster bisque -to the stuffed clam -to the crab cake ...and of course their famous lobster roll ! The best value in Boston :D
Go in for one of the best lobster rolls in Boston . The line moves quickly.
