Nice place to walk/bike. People driving 399 need to slow down though. It's a national park & the speed limit is 20mph in a lot of places due to wildlife & nesting birds.
You can view the fireworks on Okaloosa Island here and not deal with the traffic afterward!

One of the great area attractions and a very historic place as well. I happened to come out on a day with temps in the 20’s. There was still a crowd. I enjoyed myself though. - Mel J
