Tompkins Square Library has been serving residents of Manhattan 's Lower East Side since 1904.

A large selection of books are available and can be ordered if not in stock.

The restroom is in the basement . You can get the key from the front desk.

I used to go in there & just chill , read magazines, etc. Apparently falling asleep on the table to be woken up drooling is not smiled upon in this place but it's still fun none the less..

The laptops apparently breakdown, but with desktops they'll accept Internet reservations . Just make sure you're on time! They'll allow a 4 minute tardy excuse before passing the keyboard.

There is no adult bathroom . *thumbs down*

School gets out at 3pm, hint hint
