Central Park (btwn 85th & 96th St) New York , NY 10024 United States
Can't bring your dog on the trail that overlooks the lake ; a little lame bc park time is usually an experience shared with a canine friend, but you can still see the gorgeous city views on all trails .
Named after the cutest Jackie ever to marry a President this magnificent reservoir practically fills up the entirety of Central Park .Maybe the most splendid lake in the world.Certainly the most iconic
Iconic views of the city . If you're visiting please don't bring your bike/stroller/dog/tractor on the running path. Slow pokes(like me) keep to the right and let the runners pass.
The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir located in Central Park in Upper Manhattan is 1.58 miles around. Enjoy the beautiful view that’s equal parts nature, equal parts urban paradise. Read more

Great place to see the face off of the west and east side Apt's. They've lowered the fence from years pass, making the view more accessible. Look at the water and you will see turtles and birds
I've been fortunate to take this peaceful walk around the only city to live; Manhattan. I met John Jr. at the premier of Alessandro Ford's first movie . Legends have sweet tastes .
If you're not running, be mindful of those who are and walk in the right direction. Otherwise enjoy all 1.5 miles of the loop - perfect on a summer evening.
Pretty much beautiful any time of day. If you can do sunset from the East side you will get some great silhouettes of the West side
Lovely view ; funny how you see the skyscrapers of the dynamic city rise behind the peace and quiet of the water and the park around it.
Splendid view ! Get a delish hot dog right by the lake and enjoy the moment. Guggenheim museum is just steps away on 5th ave.
Should be called an oasis not a reservoir , amazing running track and city views

Serious runners stay on the road while the rest of us take the scenic route around the reservoir . Pretend you're in a Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie about life in New York. Oh that's just me?

Jog, walk or just stroll, best views are from the north looking at the skyline

This 1.5 miles pace allows joggers/runners to pace themselves in their running routine and to develope the necessary stamina for the longer runs. Enjoy the stunning view .
Great place to walk or jog!
Counterclockwise is the key word. Seriously! You have to respect the walking running directions. Walking clockwise pisses people off.
Built, 1858 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. After 131 years of service, decommissioned & renamed in honor of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1994. Run two counter clockwise loops for a 5K.
The city 's main water supply with a huge range of wildlife .
Make sure you follow the signs and traffic lights, yes, traffic lights in a park :)

There are no bikes or strollers on the Jackie O path. @nycparks please consider more signs and enforcement.
There are only a few points of entry or exit, so once you're in there, you can't really get out. You have to go the whole way around, which forces you to get at least 1.6 miles of exercise.
It's 1.57 miles around the reservoir path and one of the nicer strolls you can take around Central Park .
