Akha Ama

One of the best coffee shops in CM belonging to a cooperative of Akha people. Their coffee beans were chosen twice out of 2000+ entries for the world championships. Their roaster trained at Stumptown .

Strong coffee beans were fresh and tasty. Used for butter coffee at "home". Sourcing and business ethics are good. Shop is quiet and dim. Special vibe.

It’s wheelchair- & baby stroller-friendly; there is a ramp leading up to the cafe . There are also outdoor seats for about 4 pax (left of photo); saw a smoker enjoying a cuppa ????

Beautiful design inside and very efficient buzzer collection system with nice cakes and drinks, some quite unique, on offer. WiFi too so good for working minus the hard chairs ????

Great espresso , one of the to in CM, made with local beans. Rich taste, high acidity. Latte with acid beans isnt ideal to my taste, but technically it was ideal.

Lee is the owner of this membership based sustainable coffee farming initiative. He spent time in San Francisco and Portland with Stumptown , Blue Bottle , Sightglass etc. Stellar guy!

Forget your Starbucks and try Akha Ama Coffee La Fattoria! You will understand what is the true coffee . Excellent coffee blending, it is so mild, chocolate-like, and a little bit bitter and sour.
