Get the meat + veggie combo or just the veggie combo . Can't really go wrong. Any cuisine that encourages eating with one's hands is my kind of cuisine. Also, honey wine = ❤️.
Wonderful food and warm friendly service by the woman who runs this place. It can be a long wait and the place is small so put your name down early. Get the meat combo and/or veggie combo and enjoy!
Fantastic vegetarian options . Low-quality wines . Good beers . Great small environment, yet plenty of table/seating space for a close dinner , date or celebration.
When I ordered vegetarian combo the waitress said she'd pick the 5 veggie selections for me, which I had doubts in the beginning, but she knew what she was doing. Just wish it was closer to a subway!
Everything was flavorful and delicious. I could eat bowls of their veggie dishes . No utensils, so get ready to eat with your hands!
After twice here I still don't remember the dish names, but stuff w meat (lambs good but dry). The beets are also really good and I usually hate beets . Honey wine .
The yatakilt alicha is delicious. The veggie combo is delicious even for meat eaters!
Meat and veggi combo is one of the best dish at Haile Ethiopian cuisine. Haile ethiopian cuisine Kitfo and lega tibes will top any other restaurant in NYC.
My first Ethiopian experience! I picked it based on good reviews on here & Yelp. Their veggie combo is def worth trying for first timers :)
I feel like this place is under rated. The meal was delicious incredibly delicious. Try the vegetable combination and if you eat there eat family style .
All the vegetarian entrees were great! Chickpea appetizer , red lentils , split pea , and beet entrees were standouts. Can't wait to try the meat entrees!
St George Amber ale , Lamb combo platter with two veggies . Everything is delicious!!! Eat with your hands.
Best Ethiopian food I've ever had. Yesiga Tibs are a must. And they serve wine in cool berele glasses!
Great vegan options at a great price. All the veg entrees are very good. Lentil sambusa was boring and oily, skip it.
Ask to have one large plate for the table for sharing. Apparently that's not the default but the food is best shared!
Get the mixed veg plate. Everything is tasty but nothing is special.
The lamb dish was delicious. Food is great for sharing .
Everything
Chicken was very good. Better than any vegetarian options .
It's a little too sour but the beer is awesome, the amber ale is 8-)
Ask for an extra large plate/tray if you're sharing with a big group.
Red lentil chickpeas lamb bit something
Great brunch specials !
The single lamb dish is bland. You may have better luck with the beef dishes if you are looking for a spice full dish.
Ethiopian food
Try their honey wine !!
Meat combo!!!!!!
Vegetarian combo
Not open for lunch .
NY doesn't have the best Ethiopian food ...this place is ok for a craving fix
I liked it a lot. Get the combo and maybe an appetizer, you will be full. Very inexpensive, will return for sure. - Mykle Eli
Get the Timatim Fitfit (tomatoes w/ onion peppers) as an app—fresh and spicy. Veggie combo beats meat dishes and honey wine is the perfect compliment to the savory flavors of the meal. - Becca McArthur
Fantastic Eritrean option in the city. Their server Shamm is the bomb! Take her recommendation and enjoy the meal :-) - Elie Bleier
Impressive selection of desserts. I love NYC strawberry cheesecake, carrot cake, and coconut cake. - Anna Dzhenkova
love the matcha cocktail. also, don't leave without trying the black-sesame crème brûlée. - Caroline Jane
