Excellent brew at this small coffee house . Try the flat white and add an extra shot if you need a real pick-me-up. Pastries are yummy and fresh too. Ask for a frequent buyers card as well .
With no WiFi & posters discouraging laptop use, these guys make it pretty obvious that they're not the best spot to get work done. But if you're catching up with a friend over coffee , head upstairs.
Filter has reopened as of Nov. 1, 2021. It’s back to serving some of the best espresso and coffee in DC.
Fantastic pour over , I don't always do well with coffee but the blends of juices and coffee together make it fanstic! It's my new go to spot for studying in DC
Kinda like the Blue Bottle of DC.. only the logo is orange here. I'm happy they offer a flat white , a hotter version of a cappuccino with less foam. Duh.
The space was renovated in 2021. There is no longer an upstairs for sitting. The shop has been integrated into the building lobby, which has seating available. The coffee is still great.
Bring paper work, friends, or make new friends. Good for unplugging to connect better or focus better. Only thing is top level can get really loud - bring headphones if need quiet for work
Want one of those cool flower designs on your latte ? Then this is your place! The coffee is great too.
Great espresso , drinks are well priced. However it's got a modern vibe, not the most comfy . Very small- good place to grab and go, not so much to hang out.
Casual social space. Also has a nice book borrowing shelf, great way to get in a quiet minute's respite during the day!
Second. Best. Coffee shop . Ever. (Go to Filter in DuPont for the BEST)
One of the few places in town to do pour over on a real ceramic cup ????
Great vibe, friendly staff , and FINALLY a place in DC that sells some legit coffee .
One of the best coffee shops in DC.
Go for an artisan lattes (expertly poured with foam designs like leafs and such)...
I couldn't stop myself coming here everyday to get my morning cup of coffee ☕️ ????????????
The balcony makes the shop very unique. One cozy place to read a book .
Everything is good. Try the Coronado, cappuccino , or a pour over
One of the best coffee places ????????
The coffee that you take everywhere ????
The pastries were surprisingly good, top notch
The folks really know their pourovers
One of the few places that can make a good Flat White

Probably the best coffee in the cbd. Little pricey though
The best coffee I've had in DC.
