The Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RST) is a 1,040+ seat, thrust stage theatre owned by the Royal Shakespeare Company dedicated to the British playwright and poet William Shakespeare. The Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres re-opened in November 2010.

For a very fair price , the backstage tours are well worth it for anyone with an interest in theatre . Very extensive and last just over an hour. Worth booking beforehand. Members discount available.
It is much different than the original building however still a remarkable sight of the town along the river Avon. Check the website for plays and exhibitions .
Bridgefoot car park is only £2 for the whole evening if you park after 4pm. Always loads of spaces and only a short walk to theatre . You do need change to pay.
Great views of the town from the top of the tower. Excellent place to watch a performance of one of Shakespeare's plays.
This is a very nice theatre to see a Shakespeare play. Only tip: They might make you wait for a play lull to go back in if you leave the theatre room, so plan accordingly.
Great theatre and good theatre shop, although the foyer spaces are cramped and clogged after the architects completely failed to understand how people might need to move around the building.
