It's a great little pub . It is full of actors , but they have to drink somewhere! I always enjoy myself in there & dog is always made welcome.

the duck is legendary, in the war it was separated like berlin after world war 2... swan side british and duck side american. judi dench was here. julia hiltscher has been here 100 times in 10 years.

Friendly staff , nice beer , and a simple COVID-19 procedure. Download the app for easy table service.

Great place but poor beer selection .

Usual haunt of actors performing at the Royal Shakespeare Society. Nice cosy surroundings.

Perfect post theatre pub . Buzzing atmosphere and spot the actor from the play you've just watched across the road at the RSC Theatre .

Greene-Kinged beyond all recognition

Absolutely shocking staff attitude. Just came in for a quick drink and was treated very rudely by a waiter (or it was possibly the manager). Won't be coming here again. Stay away!

Watch the tree outside, it drops red berries over you in summer !!

Loads of lovely ales on tap . I, however, enjoy an ice cold pint of staropramen !

Service is VERY slow here. Make sure you have enough time on the parking meter!

Beware: Loud actors . It says they start at 7:30... They don't. They bellowing begins at 6. And it's absolutely awful.

Very good old pub! Fireplaces, sofas, dinner area, great staff, amazing home made pie, and some of the Fuller's range. Could have some more beer options, but hey... Amazing pub. - Rafael Freitas

For a very fair price, the backstage tours are well worth it for anyone with an interest in theatre. Very extensive and last just over an hour. Worth booking beforehand. Members discount available. - Sam Osborne

Shakespeare's Birthplace

Very well done. The museum doesn't rush you through, and they have workers dressed in traditional garb that explain, in depth, various aspects of life in the time of Shakespeare. A definite must see! - courtney schiela
