Biggest freshwater pool in Europe . It's almost 100m long! Today water was around 20 degrees, I found it very comfortable to swim at. There are no lockers in this lido. ????????
UK's largest pool by surface area. The brave (and foolish) swim here all year round. Be warned, water temp drops to 1C midwinter! Like swimming the Lake District in south-west London. Wonderful place.
Well worth the trip just to hang out in front of its iconic rainbow-coloured changing huts. It's also open till 8pm on weekdays, making it the perfect place to forget office stress. Read more

Way too many people on a hot summers' day, with kids and teens screaming and playing pranks all over the pool.

You better book in advance to get a table at this relaxed, pool-side cafe, as it's popular with the Herne Hill locals. I haven't tried dinner or cocktails, but breakfast is great - fresh and tasty. - D D
Heated, even in the winter. Amazing place to go on a clear winters day, and as a bonus it'll be half as busy as in the summer months! - Nick Brackenbury
Lovely park in South London. There are great woodlandy areas that make you feel like you're outside London. Beautiful lido and the whole park is well maintained. - Valentina Covey
