Make sure you have all your DC parking/etc. tickets paid before you go through registration/tag process otherwise you'll have to go to two different DMV wait lines .
Security guards are the rudest. Be prepared to carry your stroller up stairs bc you won't be allowed to use any of the handicap entrances
As of June 2012 they DO issue driver 's license. Since the Georgetown location closed they set up a temporary service location here.
Don't bring tweezers into the building. Dont question security's sincerity when they say you can't bring tweezers into the building.
Apparently paying by credit/debit gets you through faster than cash.
Make an appointment it goes faster
Make sure you know which DMV you need to go to cause they will give you the run around
Make sure you eat before coming here.
Don't drive here, you will NOT find parking
So slow...building doesn't open until it's time for your hearing but you still have to wait for the late employees to get their act together WORST DMV EVER
Remember, absolutely no cell phones! They won't even let you text...

Seriously, double check that you have ALL the necessary paperwork and nothing is outdated. Otherwise it's a long wait for nothing.
They don't issue drivers licenses here.
