Leave it to the bohemian Greenwich Village Caffe Reggio to brew coffee the way mom used to make it—hot and then over ice. It's a great cup with the right amount of bitterness and a medium body. Read more
These differently flavored iced lattes - O M G. Also, remember to bring cash. The inside is amazing, very nostalgic of an older New York. The food's a little lacking, but like I said, those lattes ...
Huge ancient paintings and sculptures . Antiques on the walls and small round tables with wire chairs. Cappuccino is fantastic and they have a big menu of small plates . A great place to hang out.
Caffe Reggio's claim to fame--a 1902 cappuccino machine-- allegedly introduced the drink to New Yorkers. Check out the cafe 's Renaissance-era decor as well .
A cozy , old-world café in Greenwich Village with good coffee and good food. Come here for a tasty retreat on a rainy day and get their cappuccino and uno panini .
That was good! Cute small hole in the wall . I can imagine the locals love this place. If your in the area grab a bite. Check out the art , the machine, and the history!
Excellent cafe . Good for breakfast , lunch , light dinner , or desert , and the coffee is excellent. It is filled with beautiful art . The music is subdued and good for conversation or contemplation.
Such a wonderful place to relax , visit with friends, or get some work done in a quiet corner. Try their special hazelnut cappuccino . It was easily the best coffee drink I've ever had.
Had a lavender latte which was an autumn special-gorgeous! The apple crumb cake (photographed ) was so also gorgeous and very festive ! Gorge 💖
Everything I don't want in a cafe ...slow service and cash only ... But still my favorite cafe in the world, and GREAT coffee ! Been here 100+ times (before I started using 4sq).
tiny tables crowded into crevices. intimate and full of character. bright young staff serves up delicious desserts and the original cappuccino .
The chairs aren't comfortable and the bathroom could fit in an airplane, but the capuchinos are top-notch and the servers are always nice. For a real treat, try a sundae or banana split .
Cheese plate is yummy, tiramisu is to die for and the cappuccinos are exactly how u want them to be. I have been coming here for over 20 years and it has not changed 1 iota!
NYC's oldest cafe , where some scenes from “Inside Llewyn Davis ” were shot, still feels like it's from a different era. An eclectic mix of patrons, small tables, and surprisingly good food.
It's refreshing to see some old coffee staples of the city still alive and running. Check out Caffe Reggio's 1902 espresso machine and the Renaissance-era decor. Read more
The Ravioli al Pesto & Parma Panino are top-notch. The hot coffee has never been the best in town , but boy do they know how to make it iced. The bathroom has a Dante quote above it for good reason.
If you're a Berliner, you'll feel right at home with the "Lovingly decorated with stuff I found at the flea market " charm.
Cute cafe ! Had the affogato and it was delicious. The music there was perfect for a classical music lover. If you hate Beethoven or Brahms don't go.
I came to this caffe with my loved one. Its atmosphere is cozy n artistic , but not clean . However, I enjoyed their coffee , especially its vienese coffee .
The Verona panini was delicious! Got the panini special which was supposed to come with a soda , but upgraded to a cappuccino . Wait staff is also incredibly friendly and charming!
Obviously a tourist attraction because of its history but it still serves a decent cappuccino .
Good chai latte and decent pasta dishes. The hot chocolate was awful though (tasteless). The decor is beautiful & the staff is friendly and attentive. But I don't recommend going to the bathroom here.
The space is quiet and cozy , and the service is nice. There is wifi but it requires some info, no outlets. Dim, but not bad on a sunny day when the windows are open. Tea is good.
Cappuccino . Everyone else has said it already for a reason: it's fantastic. And make sure you have a little time to sit and people watch or read the paper.
Quaint little cafe that has become a mainstay of the neighborhood and a tourist hotspot. Still, we can’t walk by without getting an Iced Cappuccino .
Check out the awesome vintage espresso machine as you enjoy free wi-fi!
Hazlenut cappuccino , fresh oj . These are authentic . The crowd can get loud but if you get the purple bench by the tiny window, you could spend all day
Breakfast special served all day: Muffin Benedict, Original Cappuccino and freshly squeezed OJ for $13.95
Somehow it’s going down the hill . The Pecan-Pie still tasted great, but it was really a miniature of the way it used to be. But the price was up to 7 $ of course. Disappointing.
The rose lemonade is soooooooo delicious and the desserts are so lovely. The atmosphere is great.
As old New York as it gets. If you’re looking for nostalgia and a cup of coffee/glass of wine .
Cafe , almond cappuccino , paninis , sandwiches (cash only !!!)
Walked by a million times but never thought of going in. This place has character. Just go in and enjoy the atmosphere.
Established 1927. Continuously operated. First caffe in the United States to serve Cappuccino . Ornate bronze espresso machine built in 1902. Some of its decor dates back to the 16th century.
Delicious Pecan Pie with ice cream . And the only place outside of Sicily I've found serving a Granite latte !
classic, cheap , nostalgic, and easy to spend time in.
opposite cafe reggio is where the famous Louisa M. Alcott who wrote Little Women lives and is said to wrote that book there at that time.
Great stylish place ! Awesome capuchino
Get the cappuccino with whip cream ! The service is slow, but it's the perfect place to get coffee and take your time
Everything is amazing. The toast is the best I've ever had. Get the toast .
Viennese coffee 😍 it’s a small and pretty place
Gorgeous little European cafe that feels like a step back in time.
Admire the art on the walls. I don't think that it has changed since they shot the original Shaft here in the 1970s
Authentic and cozy . For a the and a slice of pie is the best
Check out the awesome vintage espresso machine as you enjoy free WiFi !
A must go if you want to experience the real old school NY.
Go for the sweets and the coffee and the atmosphere, not the real food. I wouldn't brunch here again...
Real good Americano . Black and strong and deliciously Italian.
Study the way generations of NYU students have—with a coffee at this gorgeous Greenwich Village classic
