Fastest dmv experience ever! I got there 20 mins early on a week day, and the line to get in was not long at all. The employees were also friendly and helpful. In and out within about 30mins.

You know in the True Blood faerie world - how what feels like 2 hours there, surrounded by beautiful fae-people, is actually days and days in the real world? This is the EXACT opposite of that.

Clean , quiet and organized – things that are missing from the midtown locations. Definitely worth the out of the way trip to avoid the crowds.

Make a reservation . Fill and print your forms in advance and it's a breeze. In and out in 25 mins including the written test .

If you're here, you've made a good choice. It may not seem like it, but this is the most efficient DMV in the City . You'll be out as quickly as possible.

Don't bother reading instructions before you come. Whoever sees you will change the rules depending on the day, weather, or mood. Bring your first born child and the kitchen sink.

Early is definitely better but the least crowded location because it’s so far downtown.

Since you're at the DMV, try waiting in line , or on the sturdy wood benches ! It's a great group activity everyone can enjoy!

Bring a pen! I borrowed one from the counter. The staffs are nice enough to lend me a pen, but what if they are out of pens by lending them to other people? Also, bring a fully charged phone.

We have the luxury of doing pretty muck everything online so I’ve only been to an actual DMV office 3 times. Not as bad as I hear other locations are. I waited longer this time but not crazy.

Get there at least 40 minutes before they open (it's math), and you'll be able to leave in 30 minutes after they open.

If you need to go to the DMV, this is the one to go to. Go in the AM and wait on the line to get in first.

Bring a book , or sketchpad or anything you can to keep occupied while you wait in line . Then remember to fill out your paperwork that comes in the mail next year so you don't have to come back her.

Under-utilized, which is good because there's rarely a long wait for almost anything at the DMV. Friendly folks too.

If you get here on a day when there's a winter storm warning, there's barely anyone here and service is very fast.

Booked a reservation at 9:45am, they called me up at 9:20am, and I'm already done by 9:35am. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.

NYS DMV is faster than Jersey less than 30 min... In and out (Manhattan office is efficient)

Arriving early doesn't help much. 30 minutes before opening, the line is already 30 people deep.

Note that for secondary forms of ID, they must all apparently include a middle initial if one of them does.

Faster than the one on Atlantic and more efficient than the one on Herald Sq

This location was well-organized a couple years ago, with benches and an electronic queuing system. Now, it's a mess of disorganized roped-off lines .
