Oh boy this place offers huge value. The food is super tasty, portions are generous and the atmosphere is very local. I had a rice meal . I want to go again.
Try the Masala Dosai for a filling vegetarian meal . The dosai is crisp and the accompanying dishes have the perfect dose of spice. A piping hot cup of masala tea would complete an awesome meal.
Consistent class act. Have been our enjoying our meals here for over 30 years! Just order your favourite. Ours are thosai (masala , paper or ghee ) & onion uttapam
Masala Dosai (good for 2) & Manchurian Gobi with Naan 👌🏼 expensive compared to the same food & quality in Dubai but authentic & really good!!
An excellent South Indian vegetarian restaurant operating in Singapore since 1947. Inexpensive . Busy between 12.30 - 1.30pm. Be prepared to share your table. Masala Dosai is outstanding.
Masala Dosai, Bhaturra & Veg Curry are amazing. Best South Indian I've tasted in Singapore. They have multiple branches with the same name. Order tea with less milk for a just-about-right milk tea .
We had the Rice meal and other assorted dishes: delicious! I really enjoyed the flavors, very fresh and tasty, not too spicy .
We tried out paper masala dosai and mysore masala dosai , both choices were generous portions and had excellent taste. Masala tea is amazing, milky and spicy at the same time.
Vadais. Dal (or kadalai) vadai ($1.90). Mixture of toor & chana dal beans. Donut-shaped medhu vadai ($1.80/pc, $3.20 as a set of 2) is made from urad dal
If downstairs is full, go upstairs! Waiters are really lazy and not so motivated, try something new from the menu, everything I tryed was delicious ;-)
We ordered Vegetarian biryani and Dosai Masala meal. Big, delicious, spicy portions. Not table ware. Eat with hands. Makes a great experience.
Mysore Masala Dosai ($7.20). Enjoyed this new find. A different masala filling; very aromatic
We ordered paper masala thosai , mee goreng , spicy gobi (cauliflower ) and mock chicken 65. All the portion sizes were great and everything was satisfactory.
Masala thosai. Just the right thickness & crispiness of batter. The curry , chutney & sambar are dope!
Spinach vadai was sizeable and filling as a snack !
Masala dosa are amazing, but everything was great. One of the best Indian and one of the best vegetarian meals ever.
Without doubt the Mysore Masala is my favourite. Unfortunately it's not available on Sunday's or before noon, make it 1.00pm to be sure.
Incredibly good food. Had the biryani upstairs and it was divine.
Good indian veg restaurant (Western point of view ). Proce range 3-12$ max including a delicious mango lassi . Dosai are impressive in size and format :-)
All their dishes are awesome. It's worth e price. My favorites: Paper Thosai, Paper Masala Thosai , Poori, Idly, Briyani Meals & Vadai! Not to forget, Filter Coffee ! No no no, Bru!
A taste of India, authentic veg Indian food . Thali is very filling and the masala dosas are very good also.
Very authentic South Indian food -;) brilliant place, food tastes like home cooked food , I will come back here for sure!
Fantastic indian food . Great ingredients and a huge amount of value for the buck!
To be honest, if you are not fun of india food in general, this place will not change it. But it was interesting experiance to eat with locals :)
Kothu parotta is very good. Authentic South Indian sambar and chutney available, unlike the 'adulterated' ones in other restaurants .
Dosas are great. But the rice plate too!
Sooo soooo tasty!!! Loved the rice meal .
Vadai and various fried snacks now priced at $1.50. Spinach vadai $1.80
They hv started introducing disposable plastics☹️: cups for water, and serving bowls for sambar/chutneys
Feels home good food. Value for money !
Charming old school interior upstairs. Good dhosas and coffee .
Very authentic food. In business since 1947 – they sure know what they’re doing 😋
Order the thosai meal served with three vegetables .
An institution along Serangoon Rd. Founded by Mr. M Rajoo in 1947
Make sure you double ask the waiter whether the dish is spicy or not. Because we asked him 'no spicy ', but eventually everything was spicy . A little bit disappointed.
Here is the best curry I have ever eaten!
South Indian vegetarian . Everything is excellent.
The go-to place for authentic Indian food around here. Flavorful and relatively affordable menu .
Very good vegetarian food . like the meals, tiffen and filter coffee .
Cash only establishment. For NETS payment, minimum spend is $10
Awesome puris and great atmosphere
I still dream about this place
Dosas are great
