Yes I like this hotel but there could be some improvements made such as maybe some live harp music or light jazz in the lobby. The food here is amazing. Would love to see some updates 2 the room!
Enjoy elegant afternoon tea at The Drake with the hotel 's oldest guest, the Lady in Red. Said to have discovered her husband's infidelity on NYE, she threw herself from the 10th floor to her death. Read more
Tea , atmosphere, n finger foods were all wonderful. My girlfriends and I had a great time dressing up and having tea here. Make a reservation early, we made our a month in advance for Christmas time .
Such a beautiful, nostalgic hotel with lots of history. Great food, shops, and bars . The rooms are very nice and the decor throughout the hotel is amazing. One of my favorite hotels in Chicago .
I love the great service I get at the Drake! I was also surprised at the great service I got from their black car service, Echo Limousine. Clean , new cars and professional drivers.
A charmingly old school hotel that made us smile! The concierges were truly lovely. Amazing dry martinis and music at the bar . Definitely worth a visit.
They had the best swing dance night! Wow it was fun! Also the best place for people watching at the bar after midnight.. Or maybe we were watched instead...any way a must visit!
Grew up down the street from here. Hilton has done a decent job of updating rooms, albeit they've made the executive lounge small and cramped and no longer a full bar . Still a great lady among Chicago
A stunning foyer promises the best, and the service and amenities live up to it. The friendliest staff and some of the best cocktails in the north
My favorite Chicago hotel by far. Iconic and charming with large rooms, a prime location and a great bar , you just can't beat spending a summer weekend here.
It is an absolute must to dine in the Cape Cod Room. The seafood is superb. Try the pacific Alaskan salmon w/lobster sauce & the crab cakes are to live for. Enjoy!
This place is frickin' amazing! Ballroom after ballroom after beautiful ballroom !
Having tea here at Christmas is such a great experience! The shops connected to this beautiful hotel are really top-notch.
@ The Cape Cod . The $29 Walleye encompassed enough fish to barely fill a quarter of the plate. I violated one of one of my most steadfast rules; NEVER eat in the hotel 's restaurant !
1st Class service, a classic experience of 5 star excellent service. A must see when in Chicago
The Afternoon High Tea delivered with the venue, music & friendly service , BUT lobster (more shrimp actually) roll, & other offerings were underwhelming. For $103 for two, it should be better.
The staff at the drake are amazing and always make me feel like I'm the most important person there. If you have a chance go for high tea . We also like to go for wine and desert at palm court
The rooms are large and authentic . Some rooms have 2 bathrooms . Great for a family
You can't go wrong at the The Drake. Friday night is usually the best of all nights
The epitome of elegance. Sip cocktails and imagine you're living in the roaring '20s.
Historic hotel . Go with a group for high tea !! So much fun!!
Tip The great bartender , Daniel well !! He is very accommodating
Staying here makes exploring the city effortless. Must-see destinations are easily accessible. Lake Shore Drive is a stone’s throw away and so is Museum Complex!

Very disappointing, very small room and bathroom , lacklustre lobby, and it is located at the north of Magnificent Mile, far from the museums and the parks (about 30 min walk)
I love the ballrooms . The wedding space is beautiful.
1st Class service, a classic experience of 5 star excellent service
Great old hotel . Love the service and location.
See Xavier in the Gold Coast Room for the best service!
Famous guests include Winston Churchill, Pope John Paul II and Presidents Eisenhower, Ford, Clinton and Obama. Read more
The pear caramel tea is wonderful! And you have to try the scones .
Want a cool idea for a first date - high tea . It's not insanely $$ , it's eating but nothing that might be embarrassing ... Great place to talk in an elegant surrounding with no drunken craziness!!
Location of the FLAG CD Release Tea Party with Emilie Autumn herself! It's fancy , so wear your best.
The Drake Hotel gets more good will then deserved and why would you want to associate with mobsters. Drake, you can go fuck yourself.
Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city , you can't go wrong!
Executive lounge now small and crowded !
Great views
Upgrade to concierge . Beautiful view of the lake & gold coast. Lovely place to work w/ a view . Not to mention, yummy food.
Overlook Hotel July 4, 1921 vibes

Fabulous Hotel
high tea here is amazing. ask them to make you only veg sandwiches
Variety is the spice of life with The Drake’s four excellent dinning venues.
Comfortable and classical hotel . The main advantage is localization!
My favorite hotel in Chicago . This place looks beautiful at Christmas time .
The best beds in town , like a baby!Might of been a the Martini night cap!
Best tea in the city
Never seen 1-person bathrooms attached to conference rooms . Convenient!
They revamped their menu. The slider sandwiches are great, especially the grilled chicken. Order the turkey club; it's wonderful. - Jessica Reynolds
Very pretty and intimate setting. Love the egg salad sandwich and banana bread. This might sound weird, but eat it with lemon curd and clotted cream. Nice place for afternoon tea in overall. - Alicia Kosasih
Great view and the Crab Cake Benedict is perfection. Omg! - Tim
Cool spot on Millennium Park. Several spots within for food/drinks. Skip the more formal Cherry Circle Room & head to Cindy's for great shared plates (meatballs!) and a stunning view. - Stefanie
Beautiful lobby, went to the bar for drinks. Bar is cozy, masculine, and has a fireplace. Luxurious without being pretentious! Great retreat for the winter. - Mandy Swanson
Mercat is just steps away and is amazing tapas with a phenomenal view. - Holly Ringle
I've been going to Water Tower ever since I was young. I'm still mesmerized by the glass elevator. The Foodlife is a food court that accommodates all taste buds. The Water Tower is great fun for all. - Raveese Gladney
The smoked salmon and egg panini is AMAZING for breakfast...ask for it on a croissant and it gets even better! - James Derrico
