Security/Passport Control

If you’re going to be using the automatic passport booths , make sure all hats, glasses, etc are removed from the face. Watch the amount of people who fail because of wearing such items.

Queues moved very quickly and staff were very pleasant despite the place being over run with some clear idiots. Passport Control works the same in nearly every country around the world!!! Learn people

The recent changes (July 2013) seem to have worked! Smooth and quick. Took no time at all even with two additional checks. They also appear to have sourced some friendly polite staff !

Very smooth and quick. Close to the trains too. The Gatwick Express takes you to London Victoria Station. Perfect and much more easier than the underground from Heathrow Airport .

Adults with children under 12 have to join the very long line to enter the UK. If you’re in the EU you can use the automated system. Just remember to remove your glasses.

Under no circumstances forget to fill out landing card - allowing you to skip standing in huge line yet again is a very kind exception.

Everyone lines up at the two stations right in front of the entrance - head down to the other end, so much faster!

Always problem with the camera and with the passport but quick service .

If you have a smartphone, background readibg about Schengen Agreement and decide to leave the country . And after yet another hour of your life wasted, sigh deeply on the other side of the border .

An international airport but only two border staff at passport control !

Fancy machine did not like my new modern USA passport. ,????????????????????

at the right time, you can get through really fast - but watch out when 3 or more planes arrive same time...
