A welcome oasis of calm green in the barren, depressing, ugly concrete wasteland of SoMa. Eat lunch here.
Rare San Francisco example of a public park very well redone, with a good balance of lawns, paths, benches and play areas . Watch for dog owners not cleaning their mess, and a few homeless on ambush.
Great middle of the city playground for your kids. Parking can be tricky, but the nearby cafes and restaurants , make it very worthwhile.
A really great place for your dog to come and play. Sometimes there are a lot of hoodlums...
Great playground for kids, nice coffee shops nearby. Used to be the center of San Francisco tech, now mostly Venture Capitalists and Realtors
Grab a coffee or pastry from the guys over at Centro and enjoy dog watching, product pitches or awkward lunch dates ????????♀️
Come here and enjoy the refreshing blend of startup kids and homeless people. Go to Cafe Centro for some coffee to enjoy as you take in the park 's ambience.
I REALLY wanted to love lunching in this park , among the beautiful trees and soft lighting but had to stop because of all the sketchy randos hanging around. Got to be too much. Maybe it's just me?
Renovated in march 2017, kid and dog friendly park . I noticed fewer homeless people than my previous visits!
Good place to eat lunch on a sunny day. There are a few group tables available and a dozen of benches .
An oasis of quiet and charm in the midst of SOMA's bustle.
South Park Improvement Association http://spiasf.org is planning a major remodel with construction due to start in the spring of 2015.
One of the nicest spots in this neighborhood but still not a very good park .
Vegan sandwich at Small is pretty good, and the Carolina Honey tea...delicious
A small plot of relative tranquility
2 hour free street parking around the park . Practice your parallel parking .
Better now that it is cleaned up a bit.
Very parky.
Rough day? Swing ! Pump your legs and swing high like you did as a kid. No shame. Your mood will definitely improve.
Always tons of dogs!!
Great on a sunny day for lunch , but equally gorgeous at sunset !
Please don't feed homeless people give them jobs so they can feed themselves!
My idea is to park here instead of Mascone for work and then walk
An oasis in SoMa.
great for lunch or picnics
Great place to relax - but not on the grass my dog has peed all over it
Nice place to eat lunch and people-watch.
Friendly faces everywhere. Humble folks without temptation.
Inspired by London parks apparently.
The chains on the swings are super long so the possibilities of your swing are endless. :)
"South of Market (SoMa) is the home address and the epicenter of Web 2.0 startups"
Great place to eat your lunch and do some people/dog watching

Play on the swings when no one's looking.
