Great place to workout. Only downside is the locker rooms are a bit tight, however the fact that they've worked them into an old vault is supercool!
Heated yoga room to help you stretch out those hard to reach areas. Also, any class (yoga , spin, endurance, etc) by Caroline Jordan is a huge energy booster. Seriously, she has way too much energy!
Good location for after work, but crowded . Some classes are so crowded , and lots of overlap from prior class , so be an early bird to snag a spot for group fitness classes !
Don't forget your locker number! They have keyless lockers which is great until you forget where you put your stuff and your code. Crowded at 8AM when classes end. Helps to duck out early for showers
You have to visit this location just to see and walk through the vault door which is the entrance to the men's locker room !
Only one squat rack. If you see someone using it for something inane, like bicep curls, tell them they'd be better of doing it on a bosu ball. They'll probably believe you, and you'll be able to squat
Kiehl's products in the locker room .
The building is a former bank , so the layout is a little weird. But it's all worth it for the locker rooms , which are in what used to be the vault and are therefore amazing.
I just love Equinox. Cardio , Yoga , Spin, Strength, group classes , spa , swimming pool , great location. Also available in NYC and Palo Alto. Why would you go anywhere else?
Beware: peak hours are crowded AF. Can't move in the locker rooms , lines for everything, and trainers monopolize space & machines during sessions.
Smaller and more cramped than many others because of the historic building , but beautiful details and a great locker room if you can go in the afternoon.
If you can wake up early enough, Austin Efurd's class is top notch. When I'm in San Francisco you'll catch me here on Tuesdays to Thursday mornings.
Spin here makes the gym 's high prices worth it...especially the classes taught by Caroline Jordan
One of the best gyms in SF ! Great trainers and fun group classes :)
Love the Vault locker room . However, this Equinox seems a tad small compared to other Equinox locations. Also, not enough ventilation during peak hours.
Love this gym !!! Don't bother with bay club and just pay the few extra dollars and be an equinox member
Ask for Carlos for personal training . He is #1 in the whole company. Also a great guy
Eucalyptus scented hand towels are chilled and ready for use after an intense work out.
Classes , Earth bar and machines are good
Michael, Pradeep , Buddy, & Caroline are yoga ninjas. Get a free 3 day pass to Michael's 430 class on Tuesday and 515 class on Wednesday if you like feeling great about life.
No cell phone service in the locker room . After all, the locker room is the former underground gold vault with 3 foot thick steel and concrete walls!
Classes , Earth bar and machines are good Nb@
Ever tried pilates mat or equipment? Create a completely conditioned aligned and balance body with the boxer and army developed method by Joseph pilates . Looking forward to seein u in my classes !
Parking validation weekends only at nearby St. Mary's.
All the staff is super friendly . Great facility and motivators
They have awesome classes in the AM from circut training , to TRX and they are great right before work :) check in out!
If you try swimming pool late in the evening it is very likely that there will be you, the pool and no one else
@ChristianNoni CLUB CYCLING class M/W is amazing. Take it and work up a great sweat!
Take Caroline Jordan 's spin class for an experience like no other! Her passion and motivation make you workout harder than you ever thought possible!
Best gym in sf , you get what you pay for
A little crowded , but the equipment is always in good shape.
Crew, shower , etc etc
Esdras is a great trainer--from start to finish. Try a session with him.
I saw NBA All star Grant Hill do assisted pullups here so yeah I'd say it's pretty cool.
Love Christian's Club Cycling class - he has amazing energy!
If you're looking for a trainer , Lauren Fairbanks is amazing!
Buddys spun and yoga classes are epic! A must try
5 peat going for 6.
Marcus Chait's playlist in spin class is f***ing genius. #equinoxgym
Metcon 3/ Stacked with Marcia Robles = ????????????
Follow the light!
Must try - Buddy's spinning class .
Definitely try the food. So good!
Try the Shockwave class . It'll destroy you!
More squat racks would be great
One of the cleaner gyms for sure...
agreed -- yoga classes are awesome here - except way too folks even at 1.00PM...
Love Buddy's yoga class !
Wouldnt reccomend this place at all. Gyms falling apart . Way too crowded and poorly run by mad management. Its nice but overpriced for what you get.
Try walking up them or sitting on them!
Get extra protein and strawberries added for good measure. - Graham H
Come early. Very popular class. - Nova O'Brien Aycock
Really nice, multi-level location. Good variety of group classes & times. Cool location and interiors too. Only downside is women's lockers are always malfunctioning. Friendly staff though! - Jenny Ung
All the trainers are amazing but Erica is my favorite. - Garfield Granett
Outstanding espresso. My go to is the off-menu “Gibraltar”: espresso with a touch of milk in a double shot glass. - Brian Strauss
Awesome (if a little pricy) market inside, and ferry rides out the back. Worth going on Saturday for the farmer's market. - Dana
Always impressed when passing through Westfield Centre in San Francisco. Shopping experience and the variety of store types excellent. Love to try out the restaurants for lunch and dessert. Recommend. - Richard L Burnett
