The Museum of Natural History was founded in 1920 & started out as a small wooden building on a public square. The rooms were crowded with various species of animals earning it the nickname “The Ark.”

Amazing. So many wonderful exhibits . Very family friendly . Be sure and get lunch in the cafe too. Very friendly employees and super yummy food.

Go see the gem room! Believe it or not, they most expensive rock they have in there is the moon rock from the Apollo 12 mission to the moon. #istilllovediamondsthemost

If you’re here at night, use the angled roof of the building to locate the North Star, or Polaris. Other stars appear to rotate around it.

Had a lot of fun here. Neat exhibits (loved the dinosaurs !) and the planetarium show was pretty cool and interactive. Glad we went.

Balto , the Siberian husky sled dog made famous by Alaska's 1925 serum run, is part of the collection here. This summer, check out "Mythic Creatures : Dragons, Unicorns & Mermaids" through Aug. 12. Read more

Overshadowed by the art mueseum nearby but is well updated and has some cool exhibits . Enjoyed the face controlled mouse cursor demo

They do a nice job with birthday parties. We had one there for our daughter in 2010, and it was really nice! Good combination of fun and learning.

More than stuffed animals & rocks, this place is a must see.

Check out the history of food dinners ! Amazing. They are in February, April, June and November

The Whales|Tohora exhibit is definitely a must-see. Stop in before January 27 to hear legends, touch whale bones, and crawl through a life-sized whale heart!

Allow yourself time to see everything. It's worth it.

A great place for kids. Don't miss it. Try the exploring lab at the lower level.

If you have a large group, do NOT plan events on the weekend unless you get people there early. Stuff fills up too quickly.

The Cafe has good food. Try the Grilled Cheese w/bacon sandwich and/or combo. The Whales are coming October 20, 2012.

Visit the Planetarium & Observatory for $4 to see the stars and planets!

They have everything from rocks and minerals , to fossils, to living animals!

Between 6 & 7 pm they feed the corals in the reef tank (Climate Change Exhibit )!

Upstairs for the art gallery too!

Awesome exhibits can't wait to bring grandkids...

CMNH manages an onsite zoo with plants and animals native to Ohio accessible from inside the museum .

The Dinosaur exhibit was awesome.

Open seven days a week and late on Wednesdays.

The exhibits were ok. It's not DC, NYC or Chicago but at least it's something.
