I highly recommend the elephants, bush dogs, gorillas, and of course, the pandas . If you ever think you may want to have children - come here for a birth control realization.
Entire zoo is wheelchair and stroller accessible. That being said, whichever way you choose to make your loop, your first half will be uphill, and some parts are steep.
It was hot and the animals weren't up and about will try again in the fall. Overall the kids had a good time. The ppl drawing u as a cartoon in the park are really great, it only take 10mins.
Excellent place for the family must see the Pandas they are the main attraction try to be there at 9.30 am later gets too crowded

The new reptile house is gorgeous- never thought I would use that word for a reptile house. 100% better than the old one. Bright and spacious . Worth the trip!
Its a very big place. Expect to do a lot of walking but if you like zoo 's this is the place for you. Great place to bring the family.
The zoo is awesome, pandas and the way you can feed giraffes are the best
If you want to buy panda gifts , do so at the gift shop right by the panda exhibit as the main gift shop at the entrance is strangely devoid of all very many panda items.
Meet America’s only twin panda cubs or take on the Safari Day Camp to experience up-close animal encounters and learn about animals in a fun way.
Great for outdoor adventures, bar-b-ques, and close to the heart of the city . $40/person/day or $100/family/year. You tell me what's the better deal. Second season as a member holder and loving it.
So many great animals to see! I enjoy following the zoo 's instagram account for a behind the scenes look and extra info on my favorites!
I visited here on July. Although the close time is 5:30 pm, but they begin to let animals into houses at 4:30 pm, you won't see a lot after that.
Zoo Atlanta is not just the pride of our city , it is one of the most respected zoos in the nation/world. The conservation, husbandry and preservation efforts here are wonderful!

Very Nice Zoo , lots of species, lots of room, lots of different points of view . Pandas , turtles , birds ...
Days with light rain are the BEST. We don our rain boots and go looking for the biggest puddles. The animals are more active and it feels like a private viewing with no one else around.
Love food, beer and music almost as much as you love the adorable animals at Zoo Atlanta? Then don't miss Brew at the Zoo , a great beer festival held in May!
There is always something fun going on around here from classes to interactive displays they set up.
make sure to get there by 10 a.m, at the latest. it gives you enough time to see the exhibits before all of the feedings. the orangutan feeding was extraordinary!

Don't miss feeding the giraffes ...cash only , and check your map for feeding times!
Great time to go when temperature is cooler. We went for Halloween festivities and they did a great job.

Go see the life-sized statue of Willie B , the famous silverback gorilla who served as an icon and ambassador to Atlanta for decades. He was named after 6 term mayor William B. Hartsfield.
Get to the zoo early for the best FREE parking . If you can't park in the lots, try street parking a few blocks east or west of the zoo .
I love the layout of this compact zoo . It's also very stroller-friendly.be sure to check for reciprocating memberships if you belong to another zoo .
The panda encounter is pricey but you won't find another opportunity close to it outside of China! Kicking myself that we didn't do it- guide had even offered a discount for our 1.5 year old.
There’s no where to park right now. The big parking lot is closed. Streets are all filled as well . We had to park about a mile in a half away if not farther.
One of the better zoos I've been to. Loved the panda .
The zoo opened in 1889 whenbusinessman George V. Gress purchased a bankrupt traveling circus & donated the animals to Atlanta. In 1999 the zoo joined only 2 other zoos in housing giant pandas .
Lun Lun, the giant panda , had twins! If you are planning to see her, you have to wait until later in the Fall because she is nursing them!
Fantastic zoo , friendly professional staff . Very committed to the environment and conservation.
It was a fun place! Don't miss the statues near the kids zoo ! ;)
Local Lust: Zoo Membership ! This is a GREAT zoo with fabulous events throughout the year that will keep you coming back. Membership will $ave you money!
Zoo Atlanta's animal encounters are a great way to learn about the animals up close.
Zoo is ok but small compared to other zoos around the world. But I like other attractions but they cost extra money almost just as much as the entrance fee for the zoo .
If you have kids mark your calendar to check out Boo at the Zoo ! A great family friendly treat :)
Great day, great exhibits we had a good time.
Great trip with the church group. Needs better directions for the bus drivers on where to park .
We got our tickets for free from the library . To that end it was a lot of fun. If I had to pay 70.00 to get in, not so much.
Lots to see and do! Great petting zoo and exhibits !
Great healthy food options for kids and incredibly friendly staff .
Went during the summer and the weather made the animals lazy and unappealing. Maybe going during the fall or spring is a better idea.
Save some $$ on your admission by purchasing a City Pass. You'll have access to other great spots in Atlanta, too!
