The Panhandle

Due to the drought,there are trees that are unbeknownst to park goers,dead. Often large branches fall off the trees . Please beware. I’ve seen this happen and others have been injured.

Golden Gate Park is one of my favorites to get lost in for the afternoon. You can picnic with friends, go to the De Young Museum , or the Japanese Tea Garden . The options are endless!

Running on the pedestrian only side is great. I have a dog, and the last thing I want to do is injure a biker or my dog while running on the main drag!

Best way into the park if you're coming from downtown! Awesome for biking or walking.

It's a nice walk, lots of people running and dogs and occasional group of stoners smoking but they won't get in your way!

Connects the wiggle to Golden gate park and is flat. Great for running.

Watch out for the hobos, and don't forget you can't ride a bike on some parts of the jogging path!

Volunteer cleanup crew comes through on occasion. If you se them, stick around. One dude is incredibly talented on the courts. I counted 13 backflips in a row once!

late-night bikers look out--after 11 they turn on the sprinklers and spray right across the bike path .

love the PH. i like to use it to pick up the GG and fry up some bacon . mmm... bacon .

If you're walking/running/jogging, use the south pathway (near Oak Street). The north pathway is a major E/W bicycle route, and it's a little more tense for cyclists and pedestrians to share.

Not a ton to say, it's basically the entry point to Golden Gate Park .
