The most annual snow in North Lake Tahoe with over 500"and the most efficient lift system per acre of any Tahoe resorts, located off of I-80, close to Truckee.
629 Sugar Bowl Rd (at Donner Pass Rd) Norden , CA 95724 United States
Fantastic spot! Low crowds, and wide variety. Slopes , park , backcountry, all of it. Kids to pros. And without traffic woes of Tahoe .
"My favorite run here is The Sister's to Stielhang Gully . It's right underneath the chair, so if you charge you might get some cheers!" - Mark Engel, US Ski Team
There's some pretty good food! Just remember a lot of it is expensive .... Also make sure if you ate here to stay for a while get the core pass or the season... Day passes add up to too much!
Fun and family friendly , always! Staff is fantastic to work with and looking forward to many more seasons with the resort !
The closest… ditch going over the summit and saddle up to Sugar Bowl . Awesome for families and skill levels from beginner through advanced intermediate .
Used to be a regular here. I've since moved on to bigger mountains but this is a nice place to learn and take family.
High on Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl will often see the most snow from big Pacific storms. Lots of side and slack country to explore as well !
Ski ambassador and Olympian Daron Rahlves recommends Silverbelt Gully for intermediates and former Olympian Bill Hudson suggests Silver Belt for advanced. Beginners hit up Sleigh Ride.
Go here and get a CORE pass for $19 for the season and you'll get $12 off your lift ticket every time! Bring a friend and they get $12 OFF too!
Come New Year'Eve and ski down the mountain at night with a torch. Fireworks at midnite on Mt. Disney.
"Secret Stash: Strawberry Fields of Disney, it's a long traverse but not that many people know it." - Mark Engel, US Ski Team
Uncrowded slopes , great terrain.
Great snow, not too crowded .
Keep up your speed at the bottom of the runs! Nearly all the lifts are in flat zones.
Check out the snow!
It's good when there is powder. Ice bowl in bad conditions
Icey conditions but still fun. Come thirsty :)
Order the bloody Mary from the belt room bar . Best bloody in tahoe .
Summertime dinners at lake Mary are awesome.
All the food is crappy. Bring a lunch
The lift to Mt. Hood is sketchy . When you get off, the ramp is deep and icy.
poor communication, poorly run, lifts broken, get snow finally then unable to run the lifts/ open on time, close unexpectedly, false snow reports
The bloody mary here is top notch.
Best pizza !
Why no free WI FI at the lodge ?
The worst year i can remember to have a season lift ticket .
Great snow today
There's nice terrain here for all level skiers and some well spaced glades. Wolverine Bowl was a lot of fun. - Lance Lacoff
Looking to treat the family to a great sit down lunch? Drop into High Camp located by our beginners area for mountain top dining with an unbelievable view! The pheasant soup is a must! - Squaw Valley
