The back deck off the bar is surrounded by gorgeous redwoods , and the lounge-y area by the fireplace has a bunch of games you can play while tucked into one of the couches . http://bit.ly/Zr8zjB
If you are coming on a weekend don't expect to get any rest until at least 1 am. The tavern which is attached to the motel starts live (In our case punk) music at around 10:30 at night.
Cabins are awesome! Has everything you need minus cell service. Head up to the bar for live music (and wifi ).
Employees and campers have seen the ghost of a Native American here wearing a corn mask. Mostly seen between 2 and 3 a.m. near the cabins . This area was sacred to the Esalen Indians.
Fernwood Tavern holds several concerts for local and touring bands, usually 1-2 each week. Great nightlife!
