215 E Main St (Downtown Mall) Charlottesville , VA 22902 United States
Opened in 1931, it is distinctly known for its segregation among African Americans during that time. Restored to its former glory, the Paramount opened again in 2004 after being closed for over 30 yrs
A gorgeous venue in a restored, historic theatre that hosts everything from plays to movies to concerts . The best thing, in my opinion, is the showing of classic films .
Tom Tom Festival here is a Charlottesville must! Paramount itself is a great building
Everyone says how beautiful it is, and they're not kidding. Literally spent five minutes soaking it all in.
This is a truly beautiful theater! The gold leading in the ceiling and walls are gorgeous! I must come back!
See a movie at the Paramount! Respectful audiences, beautiful theatre, and beer & wine with your popcorn !
Ladies! Don't let the long bathroom lines at intermission scare you...go to the downstairs bathroom . The downstairs bathroom always moves fast.
Great venue for comedy shows and other unique outings.
Ladies! The downstairs bathroom line at intermission ALWAYS looks worse than it is...it most fast. If you're a first-timer here, go to the DOWNSTAIRS bathroom...way bigger.
For movies , definitely sit in the front row of the balcony ! Best seats in the house
Hear the Municipal Band of Charlottesville at their free concerts on Tuesday nights in the summer!
