The Kim-Cheese-Steak is a MUST. It's a cheddar blend as orange as a fake tan and dotted with kimchi from No.1 Sons and Korean-style roast beef . Mhmm. Read more
I love this place! You can get customized Mac n cheese or grilled cheese . The place is cute and the service is great!
Ohhh wow! This is a place you do not want to miss. Gluten-free bread from rise bakery . Go knock yourself out fellow celiacs!
Can't go wrong with the delicious Kim-Cheese-Steak.
Great quick snack close to the White House. If you love melted cheese , try this place :)
The jalapeño popper grilled cheese is phenomenal. And the bartender and staff were incredibly friendly !
Fantastic food and cool atmosphere. Can't wait to come for the dinner rush.
Customized grilled cheese & mini tomato soup for dipping . Great but very, very filling.
Original Grilled cheese with bacon . Tomato soup is on point.
Buffalo chicken grilled cheese was mighty greasy but tasty. Seems pricey , so come at happy hour .
Not sure why the low ratings. It's grilled cheese with a bunch of random but delicious ingredients. Lunch line is nuts though.
there's an ADA-compliant bathroom , but nowhere for someone using a wheelchair to eat. booths and tables are high off the ground, unmovable. half the restaurant is only accessed by stair. Problematic.
Happy hour : 4pm - 6:30pm, M to F. I'd like to try their cheese plates ...
A little pricey : $3 cokes , $9+ just for the sandwich , $4 sides. The food is quite tasty, though. Good place for if someone else is paying.
Really crowded even at 1pm on a weekday. They still need to figure out their number calling and payment system. They need buzzing pagers because it's too loud to hear numbers.
Great place to grab a soggy sangwich, soggy tots (eleven, in my order) and $3 Coke .
Prices are too high for a simple cheese sandwich and space is not at all conducive to any sort of conversation. Was looking forward to a lunch of nice comfort food , but nothing comfortable about GCDC.
Gluten Free options , love me some grill cheese .
Note that the sandwiches are toasted and not grilled (as the 'GC' implies)...
Kim-Cheese-Steak is quite the concoction . Very delicious.
Yummy sandwiches but the service is even better.
Not a large beer selection but the food was great!
The margaritas taste great!!!
Kind of overpriced, but the sandwiches are good and so is the service (at least when I've been there).
Ok, I really wanted to like this place. I don't hate it, but I'm not won over. The Canadian-style tots are the definite winner on the menu.
Good but pretty over priced.
Just okay. Bread seemed like it was 2 days old and the sandwich tasted steed and not grilled.
Subpar tots . Very underwhelmed by this place.
Don't go for dinner . Overpriced and overcooked. Lunch might be better?
Meh. Don't bother.
Have the avacado salsa chicken sandwich -- but only once a week because it appears to be highly addictive and caloric (read -- SUPER YUM) - CJ M
Clean location with nice staff, they serve breakfast until 10:30 too - Christopher Minakowski
Tons of history here. The house looks amazing and the grounds are so well kept. - Karen
I have been going to Washington for 40 years and just visited for the first time. What a great place to visit with so many interesting exhibits! Definitely will go back again! - Tom Nelson
Many of my wedding shoots have this in the background, of course, its a classic DC monument! Great spot for using the natural light, sunrise/sets, the sky & much more! - Cozmik
